    Hi Everybody,

Please give me some insight. Last Friday I noticed I had bad yeast infection, so I thought. it as itchy, discharge, no smell though. I had them before, so I thought that what it was.. I went to my gyn...it said it was not yeast infe.... I am afraid...im gonna die of some std. I was always so careful...but last time I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend.. I m not sure what kind of std ...I m suppose to get some kind of result later today.. I m just afraid to find out what it is. He prescribed me some cream...and antibiotics...it felt better for a while...now...I feel it itching again and still has some discharge.... my vigina was swollen a bit too...when I put my finger inside, it feels kind of rough now...not smooth at all...

    what could it be...

I need help or a good therapist...please..not sure what to do...Im so depressed.

It's good you went to the doc. I know it's hard waiting for results, but try to calm down until you get them. Stress doesn't help. Once you have the results then you will at least know what u r dealing with. It may not be as bad as what u think. Take care and keep us updated,k.

    Default I hope this helps

Hello, I'm not an expert at this but maybe a few suggestions might help. First of all you need to relax and calm down. Secondly, my advice is not to engage in intercouse or anytime of sexual activity until you find out what the problem is. Other pieces of advice are:
    • Do not wash with any time of body wash or soap around or near the vaginal area. You could just be experiencing a reaction to the soap or something that you used. I used to experience issues like this and my gyno recommended just water around my vaginal area.
    • Avoid touching the area or introducing your finger into your vagina. You could be increasing your odds of introducing harmful bacteria into your vagina.
    • Since your doctor prescribed medicine make sure you take it as directed.
    • Also do not double dose on medicine such as yeast infection medicine. This too can cause a reaction.
    • Get tested for STD(s). If you are engaging in sexual activity and are not in an ongoing relationship or not planning on becoming pregnant you must always use some form of protection. NO MATTER WHAT!
This isn't meant to be a lecture and please don't take it that way. I hope this helps. Also, please realize that you will survive and we are all here to talk. Please let us know how you are doing. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

    All the best,

    Miss Daisy

    Default observation...

I read posts like this and always wonder...

Your doctor told you what is wasn't but did he make mention of what it could be? In our office women are always given some type of counsel on tests, what the tests are for, what proceedure is being performed ect ect. Most times the doctor will say something like well, I dont believe its a yeast infection but the symptoms indicate it may be this or this or that. We will do X test and examine the results. My nurse will call you with this information and for follow up. In the interum, here is some cream that may help relieve the itching and a broad spectrum antibiotic for infection. He will also advise abstainance and avoiding irritants until the tests results are in. After 24 hours the nursing staff does follow up with a call to the patient to kind of check in with them to see how things are going. Make sure they are taking the medication, any changes good or bad and do you have any questions... It is frustrating to see that so many MDs leave their patients hanging and wondering without any reassurance or information.

In any case, your symptoms sound like they could be as simple as a vaginitis or an allergic reaction. Please dont take that as a diagnosis just a possibility.

Im sorry this is such a scarry time for you. I hope you have your answers soon. Let us know how things work out.

    Default thanks Guys

I got my results back on Friday from my regular physician. He told I am fine nothing to worry, but there was something in my urine. to come back in one month to do another urine test.
Now, I saw both doctors same day, my gyn still has gotten back to me. when, he saw me...he just told it was not yast inf. but it looked suspecious...I swear that's all he said....I was so scared that I forgot to ask him what it could be. he prescribed the cream...the name of the antibiotics he gave is TINDAMAX 500MG.

I'm so glad I cam here, I don't have nobody to talk to about these things. nobody knows what I'm going thru except for u guys, thanks a lot.

You guys have eased my mind.

I called my gyn's office on Friday for my results. the girl told me they will have the result in two weeks. they will send a letter if something is wrong...two weeks seemed so long from now. I will called them back Wednesday again.
Even now, my vigina still sensitive, and has some discharge, but no odor. I am almost done with my pills. I don't think it's working fast enough.

On top of that, I have fribroid...it's crazy.
