Default What types of treatment are available for Fibroid Cysts?

I am only 41 and went in for a routine physical last week, thinking that since I hadn't had a cycle in 2 months that I was probably going through the change. But before I could go back to the doctor to get the results of the numerous blood tests and the 2 ultra sounds, I was doubled over with pain that was like labor and my cycle started VERY heavy! The attending doctor told me that the ultra sound showed a quarter size fibroid cyst on my left ovary and a golf ball sized cyst on the right. (The right side was where all the pain was from the back to front) He had his nurse make an appointment for me with a OB GYN within a few days. What is going to happen? I have never had any problems before. Do these things just happen?

Unfortunately... yes... these things DO just happen without us even knowing it sometimes. It's just part of life and growing. I can look for some information to answer your question, but I want to know if you made it back to the doctor yet?
