Default Yeast/BV/Yeast again???? HELP!

Ok I was certain that I had a UTI and took a couple antibiotics that I had left over, but when I looked at my vagina through a mirror I had all the symptoms of a yeast infection (cottage cheese like discharge, itching, no bad smell, redness and swelling). I got this after using a condom with spermicidal lubrication; might be a fluke; I don't know. I was too embarrassed to go the doctor for it. I ended up using the Monistat 1 day or night formula and the external cream for 7 days per the instructions. I ate more yogurt with probiotics than seemed normal but was reading up on it and thought it might help. It actually looked better after the 7 days so on day 9 or so I thought....ok I can have sex again.

The next day I get a discharge that is white/odorless/but really stringy & thick....so I don't know what to think. I inserted one of the 3 day Monistat suppositories thinking this yeast infection came back then realized....maybe I am treating something I shouldn't....so I didnt use the other two but used the cream extrernally anyways. I waited a day or two and the discharge changed to a clumpy yellowish but it still did not smell at all. I thought...well this is weird....I go to the doctor and he diagnoses me with BV (still no smell which is supposed to be the give away and I wasn't itchy anymore either). He said that I didn't have any signs of yeast. I get the Metro gel stuff and 5 pills of antibiotics and start taking them like Im supposed to....on day one...it looks a bit better. On day two...not so much. It looked more white but still cottage cheese like so I think.....GREAT! The antibiotics are causing another freaking yeast infection. I stopped taking them on day 3, but continued with the gel. I ate yogurt again and after day 5 (last night) I thought, well maybe this is just washing my system out of everything and I will be better in the morning. Needless to say it seems like I have a yeast infection still. I don't know for certain because there is still kind of a yellowish/clear/white discharge. It seems to be slick with clumps of white mostly but at times some yellow.

I feel disgusting, dirty, depressed, and I really do not know what the heck to do. I have an appointment with a gyno tomorrow since I just went to a quick care person the first time, so wish me luck.

I was hoping someone had recommendations on something I could do. I read everything from sticking garlic into your vagina to using apple cider vinegar douches to taking pills of folic acid and something with boric acid and I just don't know if anyone else has had any positive results/tips they can share. I hear its bad to use soaps/douches/etc so I just get mixed information....help me please... I wanna be normal again and am scared to death to have sex for fear that this cycle keeps going.

Read the "chronic bacterial vaginosis" posts... there's a lot of good tips in there for BV and yeast.

A lot of us are in the same boat. You're not alone.
