Hey everyone. my nameis Jodie and I have a lot of problems. I have had pelvic pain since January of this year. I have seen my regular Dr and have multiple tests done to figure out this pain and have gotten no answers finally i went in due to a UTI and had a pelvic ultrasouind done. They found out that I had a cyst on my right ovary that ruptured and I was told to seea specialst. He told me all i had was IBS and I did what i was told to help itand it took my stomach pain away not the pain where my ovaries are I am scheduled for a TL on sept 19th. the second specialist talked a bout a TL and then said while he is in there would lookeverything over very closely. I am very scared of what is going to happen while I am out. Will they take everything out right away that they need to or will i have multiple surguries done after they figure out what is wrong with me I cant seem to deal with the pain very well even though i am on pain killers is there any other way to relieve pain? I need all the help I can get Thanks in advance

First off, IBS would be something that would have to be treated completely separately from the ovarian cyst. So it's no wonder the pain in your ovary was still bothering you. I am not sure what needs to be done to deal with a ruptured ovarian cyst. I am guessing that it is possible that they may or may NOT have to remove anything. I am not really educated in that area so I can't be much more help. Maybe someone else here has been in this situation?

    Talking question

Hey there Well I talked to my Dr again and he told me to take my pain killers every four hours and also to take ibprofen 4 of them To ease the pain he thinks it endometriosis but that is going to be checked when I have my LAP done along with the TL I wish I knew for sure what was going on inside of me its very frustrating knowing the pain is there but where is it coming from Can anyone tell me waht a vaginal Hyst is? He said thatis the type he would do if needed. has anyone had one of them before if yes were there any side effects? I am trying to get all the info I can without stressing myself out too much. Also has anyone heard of interstitial cystitis? I did a quiz thing on it and told my doctor and showed the results to him..he said if my pain didnt go away after surgury that we'd check into that next with a urologist. Like Isaid I want to see if anyone has had things like this or things done so Ic an find out more about it all Thanks a head of time

I had my ovary and tube removed last year. as for that part of the surgery it was not bad. I was back to work in 2 weeks. there was no sign of endimetrious found otherwise I would of had a full hysterectimy. Now I have severe cramps every month on the side where they removed everything and I can not figure out why it would be there and not on the other side where there is something there.

    Cool completely understand

I have been having abdominal pain for years. seen many doctors. years ago a doctor told me it was just scar tissue and i would have to live with it.
I too had a cyst (the size of a 50cent pc) to burst on my right ovary. went to the er the docs said it was appendix, immediate surgery. So I have had my appendix removed, a c section, and a cyst to burst on my ovary. the pain continued to get worse. I too was told I had IBS and was given Ranitidin to take 2x a day. the pain continued. I went to another doc. Gyn done a lab and took my right ovary and tube. she said my cervix looked like a bomb had exploded inside it from all the scar tissue, but she did a lot of cutting around it to save it (why?) I too still have abdominal pain (center and right) She explained the center pain could be from the cervix, but where is the right pain coming from . I now take Aygestin. by the way, I am just 41 years old.
If anyone can help explain any of this please reply.
