    Question laparoscopy

    Hello everyone,
I just had a laparoscopy done 4 days ago for endometreosis. And was wondering how long I need to wait before I can start exercising again. I usually jog five days a week but I realize I can't go right back to that but I am hoping to be able to go for short walks soon. Also, I was wondering if anyone knows how long I should wait before having sex. My Doctor said a week but that seems soon to me since I still have stitches and bandages on.

My doc told me 2-4 weeks. But, I had more than the lap done. Once they got in there they found a tumor on1 ovary and a cyst on the other. It's one thing to just have the lap, it's more recup time if you have other things done. But still, 1 week seems awfully soon to me. Just take your time and heal. There's no sense pushing yourself. Take care!

Just wait until you feel ready.

It's not just the physical healing its the emotional. You may be a bit anxious especially on the sex side so maybe give it a bit longer than dr recomended.

I had mine on a Friday and went back to work on Monday. I was a baker at the time and the work was quite physical. It was a bit too early, I should have waited another day or two. But short walks would probably be ok after a few days. Just take it easy and listen to your body.
