    Angry Endo?Pain?Confused?Help?

Since late June of last year I've been experiencing constant cramping that's gradually getting worse.I've also had "flair ups" every few months where the pain gets really bad that I'm stuck in bed for a week or so untill the pain goes back to normal.

I've had two ultrasounds and a blood test, which showed nothing abnormal.Though on the first ultrasound and during the pelvic exam and papsmear it showed that I had a retroverted uterus, but during the second ultrasound it showed that my uterus was normal.Anyone have any ideas about why/how that could be?

Anyways during "flair ups" doctors have tried me on Tylenol #3 which doesn't help at all,it just makes me drowsy.

The gyneocologist put me on birthcontrol for originally 3 months but her replacement (she went on MAT leave) put me on it for another 3 months and also Ibuprofen several times a day (even though it says a max of 3 times a day).I had already tried Aspirin for 2 weeks in May and it didn't help at all.Nothings helping the pain at all,and now it's getting to the point I can't do anything because it will end up making the pain worse.

Also since having the pain my periods became way light and irregular, but since being on birthcontrol it's become way heavier than my usual periods(before the pain started).I asked the gyneo about it and she said it was normal, though nothing I read indicated that it was normal.

Anyone have any ideas about any of this?Help?

Hi Empathy, that's how i am feeling at the moment for you...

Is the Cramping constant daily? Or close only to your period or during your period?

I also have had a retroverted uterus, which i think today i mentioned but it only hung around a bit, then left, years ago and that caused heeps of pain.

What happens when you sit on your buttocks, do you feel you have to sit on a left or right cheek not directly on your bottom? As, it will hurt?

Also medication of anysorts over time, stops working.

I am also slightly confused, so your periods were lighter, then you went on the pill and now they are heavier?

    Sorry, but a tad confused.

I think that you should ask for another gyno check on the uterus, don't stress it can be retroverted and then correct itself, but it could have gone back to retroverted and consequently you need to oliminate this i think... Sometimes, a couple of tests okay that's all done. Instead of sometimes an extra one can give an answer.

Just a thought but you can't keep going through the pain, you need answers and if they can't provide the answers, try a second opinion...

I hope you find it fast. A woman's pain is un-believable, it's not like a bruised foot, take care...

Yes it hurts daily unfortunatly and is getting in the way of everything.

It doesn't matter how I sit.

And yes my periods got heavy when I started birthcontrol and are still heavy 3 months after I started them.

As for getting another gyneo,it would cost money which I don't have to get my records transferred and who knows how long it will take them to actually have an appointment ready for me.At this gyneo it took 2 months to get in to see her.

As for the medications, the ones I've tried doesn't even work at the beginning never mind after using it on a continual basis.

Sorry I thought you said I should get another gyneo to check the uterus thing.

My mom and I tried to ask for another ultrasound refferal but the gyneo refused because she said the first two didn't reveal anything but normal cysts (I forget the term she used but it's the normal ovarian cysts that women get everytime they're close to ovulating). We explained to her the second ultrasound was completely unprofessional and she didn't measure all of the cysts which the first ultrasound tech did.

I'd also would rather advoid another pelvic exam unless I absolutely need one.It makes me feel quite uncomfortable.Right now figuring out wether or not my uterus is retroverted is kinda the least of my problems.

Well, can you take yourself to an Emergency Ward at a Hospital, screaming blue murder with pain? It won't be an act, but i'm saying, don't hold the pain in, really stumble in their bound over, so they admit you?

The period thing is one issue. But daily pain, no matter how you sit? You need to get this sorted.

Other than that re-book at the Gyno, and use the word "help, please", a couple of times and explain you can't put up with it, there has to be something wrong there...

I'm so sorry, i wish i could say more, if it was just before, during period then a lot of women have gone through that, but on-going, you've got to keep pushing until they give you answers, annoy the shirt out of them turn up on their doorstep daily if you have to.

Overdramatic? I don't think so, i'd certainly act if if had to "as an actor", in order to get sorted now, not given some pills to ease it...

I already went to the ER almost in tears when I had my first flair up,and they just ran blood test to rule out infection, said it was probably a cyst rupturing and gave me a Tylenol #3 and then sent me home even though it didn't help with the pain it just made me more drowsy than I already was.

I would also bug the gyneo, but I don't like the replacement (my original one is away on Mat leave)at all.She told me it was normal for my periods to be heavy on birthcontrol untill my body gets used to it,and I could understand if my periods were heavy before I started birthcontrol but they were really light. Also I doubt filling a super tampon every hour or so is not normal. She also said Ibuprofen was a better anti-inflammatory than Aspirin, which it's not the only difference is that Aspirin has an anti-cougulant.And she also said some other stuff which didn't make sense.

I would go and see another gyneo but I don't have the money for it and neither does my mom.
