P.T.S. (post tubligation syndrom)???
Almost 12 years ago (when I was 25) I had a tubal done (clamps were used, but ultrasounds show they are no longer on my tubes, 1 was taken out during a scope, the other is somewhere in my pelvic, tubes are still tied? or so they tell me anyway) I have been recently told that I have P.T.S. which includes VERY painful, heavy periods, hormone imbalance, pain ovulating, cysts, and the list goes on.My Gyn. gave me a few options she can reverse the tubal but my right ovary(which apparently is dying) may have to come out (extent of damage isn't yet known). In which case she said if she couldn't do a total reversal she could remove the right ovary, repair the left tube, or she could remove both ovaries. I can be put in a chemically induced menopause, last choice was to do nothing for now but she said it will only get worse and I WILL have to have a complete hysterectomy within 5-7 years. Has anyone out there been through this? I don't have enough information about P.T.S. to decide what to do. When I had the tubal I was unaware of the damage I was inflicting on my body,I don't want to make the same mistake again.Thanx
