Thread: Rectocele surgery coming up!

I am supposed to have rectocele repair surgery done in about a month. Could someone tell me what to expect during the recovery - both good and bad. Almost all I have heard and read is negative. Thanks

I'm afraid I don't know about that particular surgery but I do have advise in general. If they give you opiates for pain (post op) get every laxitive they make and take them ALL. Nothing is worse then the constipation that pain meds give you. I've had several types of surgery and only got it figured out on the 3rd (and hopefully last) one.
