visible hair follicles on face
I have dark hair and a medium complexion and ever since I was a child, I have been very ashamed of my mustache. (My Mom started using bleach on it when I was only 6, after kids at school teased me for it. From that age on, for the last 20+ years, it has been a weekly ritual.) I recently decided that it was finally time to shell out the cash and really do something about it, and in the past six months I have undergone five laser hair removal treatments. The treatments have worked well - it is quick, painless, and there is much less hair growing there now. (My only complaint is with the price.) However, you can still see visible, darkened hair follicles in that area, where the hairs used to grow. Is this normal? Is there any way to get rid of it? Will more laser treatments help?
I tried electrolysis treatments when I was younger, which were very hard on my skin and caused a lot of visible irritation. (The electrolysis was not very effective and certainly not worth the price and what it did to my skin.) Is it possible that this could actually be scarring related to that?
Thanks in advance for any input or advice - it will be much appreciated!
