Help me! Am I normal!?

Okay so I'm 18 years old almost 19 and just recently had some discussions about becoming sexually active.

And I've shaved down yonder before, but I get really bad bumps and it gets very irritated and I don't know what to do?

But my real question is, other than the porn stash I found in my brothers room when I was 11 (I thought I was traumtized at the time) I've never seen a girls bits and pieces.

And if I'm being frank, I think I might have an abnormal amount of hair growth. It's everywhere! And it's very thick. It goes all the down to around my bum.

i'm really embarrassed to become sexually active because of this problem and I don't know how to get this hair under control!

It's super thick and I feel like I'm already prickly by the end of the day :[
please help!!

It's not abnormal to have thick hair down there... Or the amount, it does suck having to keep it under control

If you have bumps and itchiness, or soreness, then your using either a blunt razor, or not enough cream/soap. I use baby oil and I rarely have that problem.

Why not try "ouch" waxing? You can shave all you want but the next day, or that night, it will start to be prickly again, whereas waxing gives you a few weeks grace.

Honestly, I think you are what you say "normal" in your own right; though everyone's hair is different, so you can't really put yourself in just one category.

I have hair that goes all the way down to my bum. The problem with evolution is that it does not realize that we now wear pants to guard our delicate areas, which is pretty much what pubic hair is there for =P

i get the worst razor bumps from ! its like every place where a hair can grow i have a red bump and DONT GET ME STARTED ABOUT HOW FREAKING ITCHY IT GETS!!! ahh but girl I hear you on the whole sensitive skin bit. id say get it waxed. now getting waxed feels TERRIBLE but its so worth it. guys of our generation do NOT like pubic hair at all. and when you get it waxed then its gone for longer and you dont have to deal with it. which is great. i thought about all the pain id feel in a month from the itching and red painful shaving bumps vs. the 1 waxing id have to do that month. waxing is quick and instant. no prolonged pain. and it is BABY SMOOTH. aka totally amazing. and they wax by your butt too! but make sure you become sexually active with the right guy
