Default Pubic hair

I need help finding a way to at least keep my pubic hair shorter and neater. I have very thick long hair and it's quite annoying along with being harder to keep clean. I liked waxing my legs but the hair is so thick that I frequently end up with little drops of blood whenever I use a method that pulls hair. While I have a high pain tolerance it's way too much on more sensitive areas and often leads to infected bumps. I have very sensitive skin so I can't use any type of chemicals. The depilatories for allergies or sensitive skin are not strong enough to get rid of my hair. It takes leaving it on extra minutes and usually doing it again the next day which risks setting off a reaction even with the most mild ones. Finally I get absolutely horrible ingrown hairs if I shave too close no matter how much I scrub and exfoliate the area and shaving with the grain just leaves this very itchy stubble. I've been using a remington electric razor on my legs between waxing but it cuts the thick pubic hair at a very sharp angle. Aside from being pokey it often gets stuck in my underwear and pulls. I ended up resorting to scissors for the past year but I can't cut even. I find myself with short nearly bare strips next to longer sections. It's fuctional but doesn't look good and I just started going out with a new guy.

Is there a razor/trimmer that would cut the hair flatter or any other way to keep it timmed evenly? I really like removing it all but so far that just leads to pain and other complictions so I'd be content to just keep it a little shorter. I really don't want to have to use a permanent hair removal method.

Default Wax/Pluck then Shave

Not sure if this will help you, as you say your skin is sensitive to waxing. I ended up actually plucking my pubic hair (only the coarse part, on top of the mons), which does essentially the same thing as waxing. This will leave some bumps the first time you do it, but you should only have to do this once and the bumps will not last very long. With waxing (or plucking) the hair comes back finer, and some hairs will actually not grow back at all (just like with eyebrows). Now that the hair is finer, it should be very easy to shave, in fact getting a close shave by shaving in the opposite direction of hair growth is now possible. I only recently tried this so I don't know for how long I'll be able to keep this up. But I only waxed/plucked once, and so far with shaving I have had no irritation, and everything is completely smooth. I believe this is the secret all those porn stars and strippers are using, they just won't tell us...haha. But really, I'm not sure if this will work for you, but I highly would recommend this.

In sum:

-waxing=bad because you have to grow it out, therefore you're not always smooth. And as you say, it irritates you so this would be a pain to do every few weeks.

-shaving=bad because it always always always will lead to irritation (no matter who you are) unless the hair has been made fine by waxing.

Re: plucking, I had some free time and managed to pluck every hair off my mons (the most coarse hair that refused to behave with shaving), it's possible this might leave you less irritated than actually waxing. (note that waxing and plucking do the same thing to the hair). Although I do have to put the disclaimer that plucking did leave me slightly irritated with some bumps, but nothing like when I shaved, and the bumps didn't last very long.

Hope this was helpful and not too rambly

Hi - yes - i get where your coming from . It can be a problem for a lot of women , well...all of us who remove ...

Its a nightmare keeping on top of it and a pain in the backside whenit regrows ...ive found in the summer ...i first take the scissors and trim on the top and underneath - i like to keep that short anyway most times , hygiene!.

Then afterkiving a light trim i take a pair of tweezers - and you need a good few hours for this or do it oneday and finish it the next , and with the shorter hairs ive trimmed , so i can see what im doing , pull the skin "taught" a bit just like you do with eyebrows and i pluck one by one !!, yeh, it takes ages but after youve done it this way for a while you get so used to it ..like the beauty parlour, you can do it really quickly, put some music on and its something to listen to while you go about it ...i pluck up the sides on the top to whatever width i want ...depending on the landing strip look, or the brazilian !! then using a mirror...i sit back on the bed or something on clean towel to catch the hairs...and i lean in a bit and pulll the skin taught on the tps of my thighs and do the same ...i look down in th mirror at an angle to get the arkward hairs right underneath ...neck aches a bit but worth it in the end and they take much much longer to grow back if taken from the root , carefully do it so you pull the hair out in the direction its growing...there are templates you can buy in stores if you prefer a shape , such as a heart but i trim , and draw on the size of the heart faintly with eyeliner or lipliner and then pluck arount that to get a clear defined heart shape ...if there are any spare hairs undeneath , between legs and back !!! i use aloe shaving foam and razor BE CAREFUL ...i have nicked myself a lot of times including right on inside where the hair starts ...ooooowwwwh afterwards a special skin cream and no panties to let the area calm down (a bit red) and thats it ...but i agree once you start to do it it can be difficult to maintain so best to make aside some "you" time to pamper yourself.
Its nice to look nice and im sure yur guy will appriciate ...sometimmes i go natural but i still trim with scissors so i dont look too hairy ...dark haired girls seem to have a bit more or thicker ...im dark haired

I hate shaving but that's the only way I can remove it. There's always bumps.

I tend to shave the lips area and then just trim very closely for the rest. I use a basic venus razor and shaving cream for the shaved parts and havent had any problems. one thing i do do that really seems to help is PUT ICE DIRECTLY ON THE SHAVED PARTS right after. it closes up the pores much more quickly and prevents razor burn and ingrown hairs. as for the trimming, i find that if you pinch the skin in small sections it raises the hairs and makes it much easier to get a closer trim. also, if you have some hairs outside of your bikini line you'd like to get rid of, plucking with tweezers is a good option. it hurts the first couple of times since its such a sensitive area, but you'll get used to it quickly.
hope this helps!

Anyone know a good reasonably priced trimmer that works and I can use to either to shave off or trim? Also what is a good shaving cream or whatever to use so I don't get razor burn, bumps or whatever. The very top of my vagina is hurting from irration and it's driving me nuts. (LOL)

Thanks
