I have a MySpace, but only to keep in touch with family, co-workers, and friends. I don't have mine set to private, but if you're having a lot of spammers and perverts, you may want consider it. It's a good way to just check up, and to look at upcoming bands. Other than that, it's intended purpose was lost a week after it started. I think that users should have to provide some sort of credit/debit card I.D., not to charge, but to verify that you are over 18. I'm seeing way to many "children" advertising themselves with much older friends. It's sad that it's come to that.

My one big complaint about myspace is all the girls (aged 17-24 about) that pose in their underware and behave like skanks. Maybe I'm old fashioned but it really bothers me.

I feel like it gives young men an unrealistic idea of how women are supposed to behave. Not that I would want a guy that is in to that sort of thing, but it makes me feel like why would a guy ever want to date me when there are load of girls like that out there.

Actually, i agree... I have an account and why would you post your My-Space address? That can also lead to Facebook, which gives your full name and other details? I'd be careful about putting an address on a Forum.. One of my friends on My-Space (fortunately he is a friend), clicked on my Facebook from searching matches...

I have a couple of younger friends on there and they say that the young girls are stup1d, and childish and only wanting sex, so they have trouble in talking to serious people about life...

To be honest this amuses to me some extent, because the girls that do this (because their not women, and the women that still do this are still girls) either one: are trying to sell their image to either become famous or just to get known or two: they have self-conscious issues that only other pervert men could feed. Or boys could feed. In any case, they end up being marketed as skanks or s so they get what they deserve right?

As bad as this is that they put the women image really effed up but hey the few good women out there no better so cheers to you
