We once have two rabbits when I was in 4th grade. My eldest brother and I shared the responsibility of taking care of them, until one day, the female became pregnant.

When she gave birth, I was so excited. My brother, realizing how much I wanted to cuddle the baby, took it out and gave it to me. The next day, it's gone...guess what happened...mother rabbit ate her baby just because my scent was on it. I still miss those rabbits.

I was contemplating about this, when my loving fiance told me about trying a hedgehog for a pet....what do you think, guys?

Ohhh hedgehogs are SO popular as pets here in Korea, I've been thinking about getting one as well. That or a lizard. Or a parrot. Well at some point in the future, anyway.

I think hedgehogs are great pets. There are some cute youtube vids. As far as care and stuff goes, I've forgotten all that, but I can't imagine them being much different from rabbits. Except maybe they live longer.

Don't know about hedgehogs, we don't have them in Australia

I do like the idea of something different, I've always wanted a spider monkey lol.

On Rabbits, I had them as well growing up, but as an Adult, I bought one home, she saw my cat use a kitty litter tray, so she used it right there and then. From that day on-wards when ever she wanted to wee or do droppings, wala, she would go to the kitty littler tray. Needless to say she then lived inside, slept on my bed, sat on my lounge with me, and played outside, even visited the neighbours until they told me she ate their lettuces So, I built the wall higher and told her off for digging, she had attitude but she obeyed.

Moral of the story is, you can train any pet to be a "pet", cages in my opinion are wrong...
