Hobbies

Just curious to know what types of hobbies everyone is doing these days.

I tend to enjoy more male dominated hobbies. I used to fish years ago, used to play trap/skeet, used to go offroading in our modified Jeep, enjoy working on vehicles (when I have time), and currently....play airsoft and cruise around in our vette on weekends when its warm. Enjoy learning about & designing webpages (but I suck at it - laugh). I got to the gym when I have time...but I wouldn't consider that a hobby. I surf a lot...get on forums, etc.

Not sure I have time for other hobbies....my house needs attention.

Just curious to learn what everyone does & enjoys. Maybe that'll open my eyes to something new!

Photography is my passion hobby, but we also go camping, hiking, shooting, hitting the hills in the Jeep, reading, cooking. We love to spend time outdoors.

Cool Thread!

Guess I'm into what you would call 'male-dominated' stuff too, tho I can do some heavy-duty shopin at times. Love to spree out on cutsey little socks. Shamrocks com'n up this wk.

ok, here goes:

weight lifting (not good at it or massively strong, but do enjoy seeing little gains over time)

hunting - deer, coyote, groundhog, squirrell - gets me out in the woods and by myself. (Amazing what thinks you can think when sittin still in the deep woods for hours at a time.)

shooting - not the same as hunting, necessarily. Love to punch targets w/ rifle,handguns,shotguns. Reload ammo 'cause I just love tinkerin w/ stuff

mtn biking - but only in nice weather (I'm a sissy

)

Wow, I'm liking this forum!! You guys are into some really cool stuff!!

If only I could get my husband into camping & hiking. He likes the outdoors just not so much that he'd plan a trip. I'd love to rent a pop-up and just go somewhere. I swear, every year I wanna do certain things and never end up having the time to do it with work & everything. Grrrrr...

I haven't done any hunting, not sure I'd get into that or not. I hate the cold weather, so sitting outside in the cold for deer is OUT of the question. Yeah, I'm a sissy too!! Not sure I could kill something big, like a deer.... but I wouldn't have a problem shooting rabbits & such. I hate rabbits, they eat all my flowers & landscaping!!!!

There are days when I'm on 2nd shift....I'll pack up my mountain pike to the local park and ride around on the hiking trails (offroad trails). That's pretty fun! My husband often worries about me going out in the woods by myself.....

Anyone Geocache? I've done that a few times....

I don't have near as much time as I used to since I am in school, but I love to:

*hike
*rockclimb
*cook
*read
*camp outdoors (short trips lol)
*travel
*try new wines

And I haven't yet, but I'd love to take some dance lessons and also learn to oil paint someday

I'm into:

- Playing chess: Love the thrill. Experience so many emotions during a game ! It's just amazing

- Mountain biking: Can't beat the feeling of riding in the woods, muddy tracks or gravel...just you, the bike and the Nature

- Judo: What to say ? just love it. The simple feel of my Gi on
