    Default Making a Blanket

Ok, my couisn will be turning two in Decemeber, and I want to make a blanket for her. I found this really cute print, but someone told me that the materials at walmart are for clothes. So, I need to know:
What kind of needle will I need?
Do I need to put anything in it to make it warm? What is its already a soft, warm material?

    Any one have any help??

Sounds more like your making a quilt, which you would stuff with feathers and sew around the edges.

Why not learn if you don't know, how to knit? Then you can use pretty wool and combine two colours and make her a blanket that you created?

Do you have any help tips on how to do that or any books?

Not really a quilt, just a simple baby blanket. Something she can play with all year long...

These are super simple and way soft, but I've made both my boys those knot blankets out of two pieces of fleece. All you need is a pair of scissors.

They've had them forever and still sleep with them.

Oh and the best thing. You can have a decent size blanket made in about an hour.

    I found some pictures online.

it really depends on what you bought for fabric. Can you take a photo or describe it in detail.. Is is fuzzy? does it stretch?

It's like a soft material. I may be able to go, but I'm not for sure if I'll have time. The stretching...I don;t really know....

LanaBear, can you tell me how to do make the blankets like that? Or pillows?
