I'm always dragging stuff home with me that no one wants. Yesterday someone was giving away cups and I found 3 plain white coffee cups and thought "Hmm i can't PAINT these!!". I know that painting them with acrylic is pointless unless they're just going to sit on a shelf for viewing pleasure.

I looked up some info, one site says "Use porcelain paints only!". Then I called my local Hobby Lobby and the craft lady said "you only want to use porcelain paints on glass. If your coffee cup is porcelain, enamel holds up much better".

I've read stuff about buying certain paints and "baking" them onto the cup.

I don't know what to get. I just want to paint. And I want the paint to last as long as possible at least through hand-washings.

Any ideas on what I should use? Is enamel the best for porcelain cups?
