Thread: Anyone Ride Horses

I take riding lessons! Soon, when my job becomes more permanent, I hope to own a horse!

I'd love to be able to ride a horse. I used to ride on water buffaloes with my grandpa and I miss the feel of the animal's gait while I am riding it. Since there are no water buffaloes here in the US, riding a horse can mimic it.

I used to own and ride horses while a teen and young adult. When I had my own children we bought them ponies and I bought myself another horse. We all enjoyed riding until the children left home and my husband and I moved to a business with house attached.
It wasn't too expensive to own a horse when I was young, not like now when you just about have to be a millionaire!! We were lucky at our last place because we had some land. Well actually we bought that place because of the ponies and land!
I think I have probably lost my nerve now and don't think I will ever ride again. But it was a great experience although a very dangerous one!!
