I love to crochet but often find myself losing interest in my projects. My roommate found this loom at Walmart and I am able to weave a scarf in 3 1/2 hours! This is record time for me and if you get into a movie while you are doing it, time flies by. It is very similar to crocheting but much faster and child friendly as well. It was around $7.00 and well worth it. Just a project idea for the winter!!

Thumbs up crocheting: a fun hobby

    Hi Sweetie27.

I haven't crocheted in a few years, but I like it too. I went out to Walmart a few weeks ago and bought some yarn and plan on making a batch of scarves for my kids. I agree that doing it by hand can be time consuming and sometimes confusing (which is why I have a few unfinished projects) but I guess I have to focus on that sense of accomplishment in completing a project. I wish you all the best in whatever you create.

The loom is awesome. I can sit down and watch a movie and finish a scarf. I have actually made a few and began crocheting them together to make a blanket. I found mine at walmart but I assume it is available at any store like that. It is a purple color and in a almost oval shape. It has about 20 pegs on one side and the same on the other. It comes with a little hook and you just weave the yarn around it and twice and pull the bottom layer through. I am terrible with directions... can't even navigate myself out of the driveway half the time but definately check it out. Well worth it. Even I can do it!!!
