I've been doing some thinking about creative gardens due to a members post. He said he didn't have a place to put out a garden. Well, I don't know his circumstances or others, but I do get creative in the garden and about where to garden. Roof tops are a good place to start if the roof is flat and you can get dirt up there or potted plants. Anywhere is a good place, a window sill is an excellent place to grow things. No sunlight isn't a problem either- they do sell grow lamps. I love to have fresh herbs in the home to cook with and I love to have fresh veggies. I will always go visit my childhood in my mind and eat veggies straight out of the garden. They are just so good, even with a little bit of dirt on them, meh, so what, a little dirt never hurt anyone. That's the old saying anyway. I've got one fantasy about the garden, but I'll keep that one a secret
So, how do you get creative in the garden?

I do not waste space in my landscaping plot with ornamental plants. I mix in a variety of edible/fruit bearing plant/vegetables. They add color to the mix at the same time, you also get to enjoy the "fruit" of your labor.

Anyone that wants to grow plants can do so. They make a variety of containers for just about any space constraint. If your home has walls, you have space for a hanging garden. If you have shelves you have space for a garden.

I'm blessed with a good yard for gardening, but I like to keep my most precious ornamentals and fruit/veggie plants close to the houes in containers. It deters the critters from getting close enough to eat them! And they are a lovely addition to the seating area on the deck/patio in my backyard. Like sitting in my own personal mini-jungle
