Default Always loosing his wedding ring!

My husband is always loosing his wedding ring! We've been married for a year and almost 3 months and he lost his original wedding ring AND his "back up". We just ordered another one on ebay.
Thankfully, the first 2 were not expensive at all. They were bought online, too haha. We were (and still are, really) broke so we thought we'd get inexpensive wedding bands now and then upgrade later on...although now I'm thinking he may never have a really nice wedding band haha. I personally do want an upgrade eventually

His problem is he fidgets without realizing it. He lost the first ring while driving. He was fidgetting with it in his fingers and he dropped it inside the car between the seat and the door. We have looked and several friends have looked, but we haven't removed the seat yet and looked under.

He lost the backup ring at work...or somewhere along the way. He paints apartments, so he put it in his back pocket and has no idea where it fell out. His backup ring was really uncomfortable for him, though, so no big loss there.

It's frustrating because since he does it subconciously, there's really not much we can do besides keep buying rings.

I want to get ring tattoos, but he doesn't want to. Since they fade and they're so small and painful, he thinks it would be a waste of money.

Sigh. Men sometimes

Well, it's not the ring, it's the attitude and committment that count!

I lost mine once. Still married after ~25 years. Get very simple plain gold rings. They aren't that expensive and can be elegant (and nice if you are a LOTR fan).

That and a 1/2 size smaller , that should do the trick.

are u suspecting something bad happening why he's losing the ring? if you're not then cheap ring can do or let him be (without ring i mean).

Oh I know it's his attitude that counts He's fully committed to me and losing his wedding ring(s) all the time will never change that. So I don't think he's cheating on me or falling out of love with me at all.

I may have sounded like I'm mad at him....but I'm not. We actually joke about it a lot. It would be silly, I think, for me to be mad at him because he really can't help it. It's completely subconscious and out of his control.

I just posted the thread cause I just wanted to share I would have just written a blog, but I can't yet. I intended for this to be silly...not me venting my anger.

This is actually a very good idea. Quite a few men do this for reason ranging for the size of the ring to their job making it impractical to wear a ring. If your husband can't keep in on his finger, you might see how the two of you feel about putting it on a chain

That's what my husband would do, when he went to work he put it on a chain, and as soon as he came home he put it back on his finger. He always left the necklace out of his shirt to show everyone that he had it lol. It also kept it from getting all scratched up too because of the manual labor he was doing.
