Default baby talk freak out

Why does my husband freak out every time i talk about kids?
We have been married for almost a year but i am not talking about having a baby now i am talking about in the years to come. I want to know where he stands on everything. Before we got married we talked about everything and he never got really freaked out. now all i have to do is say the word and he thinks im baby crazed. I am a little but only cause i am so excited to get started. But i know i want to wait a few years yet. does any one have any advice?

Talking well...

Well, maybe he was so excited for marriage and now the reality is hitting him in the face that he's married. And when you bring up children maybe he feels that reality is just slapping him a little bit harder. Maybe he isn't ready but you are. Men usually are never ready but when it happens they cry at the birth, they steel the baby from your arms and play with he/she and they get up in the middle of the night just as many times as you do. The men that seem so scared to have a baby literally don't know what they are scared of. Are they scared of loosing their drinking nights out with their friends? Possibly. Are they scared of the intamcy in the relationship to slowly go away? Maybe. But really I think all men are scared of is the fact that they have to grow up and stop being little boys and be men for their children. That's really all I think they are scared of. Ask him why he's scared. Say, "You use to talk to me about babies all the time and how exited you were. What changed?" Don't come off as attacking him but rather concerned or worried and then maybe he might answer. The way we ask a question can get thousands of different responses. Try again! See how it goes. Let me know! And good luck!
