Question Any Gamers? or gamer spouses? (WOW, Diablo...etc)

Are you a gamer or know one? Would you happen to know how interactive games are if the players are not in raids or in multiplayer quest type things on World of Warcraft, Diablo etc?

I'm completely tech-unsavvy about these and hubby says he doesn't chat anymore and is only doing single player quests/things before his WOW a/c shuts down in a few days but I see the chat lines pop up all the time.. apparently they are only update messages and general guild messages? Could that be true? He says people cannot chat on Diablo so I should not have a problem with him being on it.. anyone know if this is true too? And he says posting on forums is just another form of social contact and even if they message him privately its only from guys (their nicknames are androgonous so I can't really tell) and again, is harmless?

I really don't want to be a nag and wonder about/doubt him about something if it really is completely harmless, especially when he says he's trying to work on 'us', but I just don't know enough or understand enough about these games and he has used that to his advantage in the past. And re: why am I here still talking about this instead of trusting him? because I really do want to trust him, I really do want to make this work if I can, but I don't like being lied to over and over again because I don't know any better about 'online stuff'.

So, if you do have any info about the above, I would really appreciate it !! If not, thats ok too... thank you for reading this and have a wonderful day !

Diablo (either 1 or 2) is an ancient game... it looks awful with today's standards, I wonder why he'd play that game online. But anyway...

Yes, it is true that several chat lines show up in online games. They can either be about updates or other people talking to each other (in the guild, or people asking for help/directions). When I played WOW I rarely talked with anyone or joined groups, just did my own quests and leveled up. So, it is very possible that he just wants to play and not chat.

But, if you have doubts about him chatting, if he hides his email and phone, if he's suspicious when you use his computer and doesn't let you touch his WOW account... you better have a talk with him.
