Given the light of my current situation (Engaged to be married before January, broke, and full of questions about the way the world's going) I'm seeking alternative perspectives to what I'm used to. A forum for women? Why not. I wasn't sure exactly where I might fit in here, as a lot of the sections deal with issues I haven't the slightest clue about (yet), but I figure husband/fiance atleast partially pertains to me, and maybe I can gain valuable information from the other half. I learn plenty from my fiance, but she's only one person with one view.

So, just to figure out how well received I might be here I'll start with a few questions.

What do you think about politics? (I don't care IS an acceptable answer, as well as a 500 page essay.)

What do you think about Barack Obama, including his views of American traditions and his ability to lead a country a lot of us live in, have families, children, and our own lives in? (He's cute, talks pretty, etc IS an acceptable answer.)

    Do you own a firearm?

If you don't own a firearm, do you carry pepper spray, a knife, or any other tool to efficiently deal with a circumstance involving violence and intent to do harm?

How long do you think it'd take my fiance to tell everyone she knows that the man who put that ring on her finger posts on a board for women? How hard would she laugh? (I suspect pretty hard)

    Why would she laugh?

    Questions are good.

Indeed although there are men here to.

I wasn't sure exactly where I might fit in here, as a lot of the sections deal with issues I haven't the slightest clue about (yet),

Have a look around, there are a variety of topics and discussions.

but I figure husband/fiance atleast partially pertains to me, and maybe I can gain valuable information from the other half. I learn plenty from my fiance, but she's only one person with one view.

So how is the fiance thing going? Good i trust.

So, just to figure out how well received I might be here I'll start with a few questions.

What ever questions you pose, people will answer, we're nice here.

What do you think about politics? (I don't care IS an acceptable answer, as well as a 500 page essay.)

Na, essays are long gone, too hard in the thinking department. Not much, power struggles i feel.

What do you think about Barack Obama, including his views of American traditions and his ability to lead a country a lot of us live in, have families, children, and our own lives in? (He's cute, talks pretty, etc IS an acceptable answer.)

Mmm... Yes, he seems to have a great way of talking, guess we have to find out... Although I don't live in America and there are lots of people here from England, and other Countries.

    Do you own a firearm?

Well, we are not allowed to where i come from, against the law.

If you don't own a firearm, do you carry pepper spray, a knife, or any other tool to efficiently deal with a circumstance involving violence and intent to do harm?

A nail file is good, pepper spray, well i probably should.. I'd kick them with my stillettos...

How long do you think it'd take my fiance to tell everyone she knows that the man who put that ring on her finger posts on a board for women? How hard would she laugh? (I suspect pretty hard)

LOL... Um, 10 seconds i reckon...

Over and over, rolling over with laughter, why? It's good to be part of a Forum...

    Why would she laugh?
See, my thoughts exactly, however, i think she would laugh so hard, at how you introduced yourself, to be quite frank..

Very Unique, different and here's your first reply.

Seeing I have been married longer than anyone else here (?) I will share my views when and if I think I can help.....But truthfully speaking even after all these years my husband is still learning about me as I am about him....Oh, there are men here too.....

So, just to figure out how well received I might be here I'll start with a few questions.

What do you think about politics? (I don't care IS an acceptable answer, as well as a 500 page essay.)

I think about politics as little as possible. This is something that there is no rational answer to and as far as I care either party can win in the USA and I do not care....I think politics is a game that is more often than not, won by the best actor....In my years on this earth I have learned that there is nothing in this world I can do to change it...And believe me I have tried...I have often wished that they had a section here on politics. But, saying this, I can get in enough banter with others without playing "I got you" there....

What do you think about Barack Obama, including his views of American traditions and his ability to lead a country a lot of us live in, have families, children, and our own lives in? (He's cute, talks pretty, etc IS an acceptable answer.)

When I saw Barack Obama near four years ago at the Convention where he spoke, I said on the spot "Look out...This guy will run for President"...And I added he just might get it...This is the truth...However, I did not think it would be this soon.....

    Do you own a firearm?

You had better believe it....Also have a state of the art burglary alarm system....But boy can I shoot those guns...My husband taught this to me years ago....He worked nights....3 young children...

She probably would not tell another woman....I wouldn't...

    Why would she laugh?

How would you act if she told you that she was posting on a Man's Forum???? Same reason.....I think I would be PO myself....But then I have been known to be outspoken....
    Take care, Caroline

I love the input from men. Women should talk to men and find out their perspective intead of assuming we know how, what and why they think about any given topic. My man surprises me all the time with alternative lines of thought. I think its great.

What do you think about politics? (I don't care IS an acceptable answer, as well as a 500 page essay.)
Uhg, I try not to. This does not mean I am not up on current events, I just think I have better ways to waste my time.

What do you think about Barack Obama, including his views of American traditions and his ability to lead a country a lot of us live in, have families, children, and our own lives in? (He's cute, talks pretty, etc IS an acceptable answer.)
He is just as morally corrupt as any other. Just ask his drug dealer. Oh wait, they did... and just like the last joker that didn't inhale, Obama never did the coke his dealer gave him. Do I care about his history, not in particular but get off the freakin high horse and be real huh. He cant be much worse at ruining..ahem, err, running the country than any of the others...By the by, hes so NOT cute. Nope, I don't dislike him either.

    Do you own a firearm?
Yes I do, more than one as a matter of fact.

If you don't own a firearm, do you carry pepper spray, a knife, or any other tool to efficiently deal with a circumstance involving violence and intent to do harm?
I don't carry anything (knife, gun, spray ect...) I try really hard not to put myself in situations where I might need them understanding that it could happen at any time or place but I pay attention and avoid.

I dunno, she may suprise you and think its pretty cool that you do post on a womans forum. She might be impressed that you are taking steps to get to know and understand women and their thinking/feelings
Welcome aboard. Look forward to your posts
