If it really bothers you, then tell him. ask him, out of respect for you, to just be a spectator at such events. he should care how you feel, but just be calm and non-confrontational when you approach him.

i dont think its cheating, if it happened to me i wouldnt be very happy either.
Its normal to feel the way you do.

anon's no-harm principle really only covers part of it. there are plenty of behaviors that would be wrong even though they do no harm to anyone else.

you could get lapdances every day for lunch & just lie to your wife about it. what she doesn't know can't harm her, right?

you've then done 2 wrong things, but inflicted no harm.

The harm principle is not mine, much as I'd like to claim credit, but that credit belongs to John Stuart Mill, a famous liberal philosopher.

What is "wrong" and what isn't, if no others are harmed, falls down soley to personal beliefs, such as yours that have been imbued by christianity. It isn't something that can ever be pressed onto someone else. Morals, as a tangible entity, do not exist. There are merely varying human interpretations of the world around us.

yes of course, anon. actually neither of you can take credit for the novel idea that one should try not to do harm to someone else. i think others might have tapped that concept even before he did.

anon, you can't deny the existence of standards. you have called upon the mods on this silly forum to stamp out those who post on old threads.

folks like you who claim there are no standards call upon standards all the time.

until they press upon your pursuit of personal pleasure - then they suddenly disappear.

that, also, is an old concept.

anon, if this is the creed by which you live, then how is it you can still defend porn as harmless -

when so many women post here about how it's destroying their lives??

or is this, too, situational for you? that is, this philosophy only works when entertainment you enjoy is not ander scrutiny...

How would you define wrong?

I would respond to whilhelm, pointing out the obvious flaws in his logic and inability to understand simple concepts, but it seems he's been banned... So no point..

(just making sure he didn't get the last word <_< )
