    Smile Newbie here

Hi ,I'm new here. I stumbled across this site by accident and think it is absolutely fantastic!
Already people are being supportive and that makes me feel not so alone.
I'm 44 and recently lost both my sister and brother in law. My mother passed away 6 years ago. We were all very close.
Right now I'm just trying to get through each day. I have an 11 year old cat named Taffy who is like a child to me since I have no children.
    I have a boyfriend of 15 months.
I used to do art work and photography but lost all interest due to depression.
Now I spend my days cleaning house.
I've been through a lot of loss. My ex boyfriend of over 8 years left me a little over two years ago. That was also hard to deal with.
I love animals, Harry Potter movies and horror movies. I love metal music and I like to sing.
Hoping to make some new friends here.

Wow, you came across this site the same way i did. I actually just found it yesterday & i feel so much better with my problems already. I thought i couldnt talk to anybody even my best friends i was afraid to talk to, but here, I found people to talk to about any problem, embarrassing or not.
I can not tell you any stories of loss because i have not had many. But I can tell you i do not have a great connection with my family. I feel that i dont love them. I tell my pets i love them all the time. Like everytime i see them. & i tell my friends that too. But the last time i said i love you to maybe anybody in my family was probably when i was 7. I am 15 now.
& my mom has told me i was an accident plenty times. which does not help. & i believe her too, because i remember she was going to tell ppl about how i was conceived, the only part i heard was something about the side of a highway.. yeah.

I believe that there are no accidents. xoxobaby, you're are here on earth for a reason. And you're here on this forum for a reason too.

Welcome to both of you. I am glad that you both found this site. I googled, "women's forums", and accidentally (??) found this site also..

Welcome again to both of you..

    Hi xoxobaby,
That's awful that your mom tells you that you were and accident.
My mom said that to me once or twice but she said she loved me just and was happy that she had me.
As I got older and my dad left me and mom took care of each other. Then she became ill with heart problems and diabeties, so I did all the house work and helped her as much as I could. I miss her dearly.
Maybe you could just try talking to your mom and see what happends.
i'm not one to give a lot of advise since I have so many problems myself but I just know how awful you would feel if you lost her and never got the chance to tell her you love her.
I had a friend who passed away 3 years ago. We were friends since childhood. We had a falling out 1 year before she died. I tried to make up with her but she just wanted to be left alone. She had a terminal illness called Chrone's Disease. I felt horrible when she died. We had been friends for so many years and then she was gone and I never got to say goodbye.
