My name is Michelle and I am from Sydney, Australia.

I am 33 years old and have a young boy who is now 6 years old. I became engaged to my partner of two years in November last year (not the father of my son) and we are very keen to have children together. We have been trying now for about 4 or 5 months with no success which has suprised me as I fell pregnant with my son so quickly. I am trying not to be too disappointed as I know there are so many woman out there who have not yet had the joy of having a child yet but it is starting to perplex me.

My concerns at the moment though are in relation to my periods. My menstrual cycle has always been every 26/27 days since I started when I was 11 and always like clockwork. They did change about a year or so ago to around 28 days which was fine. However the last two months it has begun arriving 4 days earlier ie on a 24 day cycle. This is really starting to worry me as I am not sure why this is occuring and whether it has anything to do with my inability to get pregnant. Has anyone experienced this before or know why this why be happening?
