Welcome! It's a great place to be.
You already know the keys to successful weight loss; Diet and exercise. Eat a well balanced diet that consists of lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grains with fish and chicken instead of red meats. Stay away from refined sugars and other simple starches. Complex carbohydrates in place of simple (processed) carbohydrates. Drink plenty of water and get plenty of exercise (at least 3X each week).
IF you burn more calories than you consume you will lose weight. IF you consume more calories than you burn you will gain weight. It's that simple.
