Default Hi There, a slightly worried newbe

    Hello

My name is Lily and I am worried, I have an ongoing bile duct problem, it all stated when I had my gall bladder removed after years of suffering Gall stones. MY liver results have not been normal for two years now and have been getting worse over the last few months, as have my symptoms. I was referred to a London specialist..... I live in the country side 100 miles away from London. The specialist wanted to do a couple more test before deciding on surgery. He said that there may be something else going on along side this problem. I have been losing a massive amount of weight weekly. I was at 5ft 5inches weighing 73kg for the longest time, however in six weeks it has dropped to 58 kg. Apparently the gall stone bile duct problem would not cause this. I had a phone call from that hospital this morning stating that my thyroid results were seriously out of whack and they were going to fax my results to my GP who had left a message on my answering machine.. Over the last six months I have had numerous blood tests, mostly weekly and this has never been picked up before, should I be worried?
