Thread: When you work with only men you need a little girl talk somewhere!

Hey folks,
My nickname is Betty Crocker at work, well for reasons perhaps you can guess...I cook and bake A LOT. Love it..passion of mine to make good food..and eat it too (hard to keep that diet going!)

I just turned 26, unmarried but have a wonderful boyfriend I have been in my career just under two years (law enforcement)...and as a result I was moved from a tiny town in MN to NM. I went to college six years, 4 years undergrad with 2 years graduate studies. Now living in NM I have since built a house (awesome housing market) and finally met someone.

I am here because while I am doing great on my own I really don't have any close girlfriends anymore I left them all in MN..not that we aren't friends anymore..but we are all busy with work..my schedule is always changing as shift work does...so in a lot of ways I feel alone when it comes to having someone to confide in other than my man. Don't get me wrong he is amazing, but honestly men do not always see what we do and don't quite understand things lol.

I used to be on another forum, it was a military girlfriend one...well that ended in quite a fiasco when I found out that this dude (this was a few years back) was a con...he'd lied to me for 10 years..about his identity..everything..told me he was in Iraq the last two years we were "dating" which..it's confusing but yeah a mess.

Anyways I do miss forum life and the camaraderie along with it. I hope to make some new friends here..though it's not face to face it's someone to talk to is what matters. I work with mostly men.....I get along with them great and sink to their level of perverted jokes....it's fun but again I don't get the girl part of me that I need. I am a tom boy, but I am a woman too
