    Default Aussie newb!

    Hey everyone I'm elanor! I live in regional Australia I'm a makeup artist but studying for my diploma in events management and tourism. I lived in Sydney for 5 years but moved back to the country to be closer to my family and so glad I did as I now have an awesome boyfriend. I like tattoos pinup art rockabilly culture and nostalgia. I have three cats, Peggy, Luz and Iggy and a long hair chuhuahua, Louie. Come from a big family and decided to join here as I'm looking for different perspectives on things that are happening to all of us I guess!

    Welcome! I'm from the States originally but my butt has temporarily moved to NZ, just next door to you. Maybe if I flash this light out my window you'll be able to see me...

    What's the weather like there at the moment?

    Well hello there Aussie

    I am from Adelaide, family grew up in the Country, so I can relate to a little there oh plus I used to always have 3 cats, 1 now and 3 dogs One is a Pomeranian although I am guessing I am way older than you :P

    I'm 26! It's rainy and miserable at the mo MesT, it was getting warmer so I was hopeful but down the toilet again! I hate winter!!! If my bf sells his car we might be going to NZ for a visit, I've never been! Aside from your crazy right wing groups, politicians and lack of a decent health care system I'd love to live in the states! Why'd u leave??

    lol! Omg. I'd be offended but hey it's all true.

    I've left temporarily, visited a few places, really love travel, always have... The States will always be there for me to go back to - why not live a little.

    Miserable here as well, got incredibly cold just when spring seemed to be on the horizon. I can see my breath inside my own house. One thing I miss about all other countries - proper insulation!!!

    Really? Insulation...hmm are there lots of weather board places there? I'm bumming at my bfs while he's away and it's got awesome heating. He has a high maintenance dog that I'm sitting lol. Was watching the American Today show thismorning and the tea party are just everywhere now! Last week I saw a program on the rise of white supremacy in the US esp Arizona since Obama was elected, they're main issue aside from being flat out racists is jobs moving overseas but they forget that it's rich white men at the top sending those jobs elsewhere. So misdirected! Aside from all that the states is my must see country u have the most stunning national parks! And pop culture from the 20's onwards doesn't get any better than in the states!
