Hi. I'm new here. I haven't battled weight issues all my life. At 50, I'm of the generation who played outside, swam, climbed trees, jumped rope, played tag, rode bikes, and saw few heavy kids around us. Starting in my 40's I put on about 40 extra pounds. I took it off and then put it back on again. Having recently gone through menopause I'm finding it harder to take the weight off than earlier. I've come here hoping to find sound, common-sense guidelines for eathing healthily and in ways that reasonable for my age. At 50, I just can't eat the way I did when I was 30!

So that's me in a nutshell.
