Uh, yeah, sure. EVERYONE is affected by their relationships but come on now. Chalking up any good woman to having a good man somewhere in their history? Meh.

I think it comes down to how you were raised. If you're raised to view relationships between men and women in a healthy way and you're taught to treat people with respect, you should be well-set for successful relationships in the future. (And I'm not hating on gay or single parents...they can raise children with the same values of respect and equality).

Anyway, for me undateable characteristics are similar to what others have said:
- arrogance
- being a lazy slouch
- disrespecting others
- insecurity
- violence
etc.

My dad always said to pay attention to the way a guy treats his mother. I didn't put much stock in it initially but then I dated an emotionally abusive a*sshole and boy was he a terrible son as well. All the good ones I've dated have been very respectful of their mothers.

for me undatable is more of attitude, how they carry themselves.

I think it takes time to truly get to know someone ,if im attracted enough to ask someone out then I try to give it a month or so of casual dateing to try and get a feel of who they really are(everybody is on best behaviour at first) ...Unless drunkn night at bar......

I generally dont date wemon without kids they seem to have a harder time understanding last minute changes ....and I dont wanna have anymore.... theres plenty of single wemon with kids out there and I feel (and have ) I can love them just as much as I do mine
