Default So, I'm going to model for life drawing.

Some 20 year old italian chick wants me to do some life modelling for her... That should be funny. Who said work was always boring. Hopefully she's not that hot, otherwise holding that pose could get tricky.

Have any of you done any life modelling? Funny stories?

I have an art degree, so I'm well versed in the life modeling area.

It's much harder than it looks. I'd suggest trying it at home before you go. Try finding some interesting poses and holding them for 5-10-15 minutes. Think interesting as in interesting to draw, lots of curves, angles, etc. (not sexually interesting!)

Good for you for agreeing to doing it. Art classes are always in short supply of male models. The students main goal is to become a better artist and be able draw all type of human bodies, so variety is good.

It might be a good idea to flip through some books to get an idea of what the poses are like.

One of my ex's has degree in Visual & performing arts. She asked me one day if i could model for her. As I'm very fit and toned. It took her what seemed to be forever to set up dimmers, different types of lights, and how she wanted me to pose.

She had me wearing only a pair of briefs with a wrist band on my right hand on one bended knee with my back arched and my arms stretched and my fingers griping a scrunched up Azores flag. It was an experience that i will never forget.

Sourpuss is right. Its actually not sexual at all. I seen her portfolio, even though there were naked men and women the art is what the your focus is on.

She did a color to black & white fade. It was absolutely breath taking.

She had the picture in her Myspace albums. However, she deleted her profile a few weeks back

Hope this helps

Live laugh and love

Believe it or not, most artists prefer to draw people who are more on the curvy side. More flow.

Ooo, how exciting... youve got to post the final drawing on here

If you get to choose your own pose - try not to do any kind of elevated arm poses, unless of course, youve supreme upper body strength and can win the occassional arm wrestles

Have fun, i am rather jealous!

Modeling is something Ill never have to worry about doing. But life is about experiencing new things ...Makeing memories as I call it.I feel you (we) should try to do everything life sends our way within reason. sometimes its suprising the things we can find joy in or will remember years down the road (good or bad)

For me I wanna make as many memories as I can before my girls stick me in a resthome and never call or stop by.Ill need something to pass the time with when im there.jk
