Had to share this to funny
OK so last week i had to take my cat to the vet..... apparently she had been attacked by another cat days before and well she had absesses on her back because of it. I thought i was gonna have to put her down it looked so bad.
I got her from the animal shelter and the poor thing already has extra toes and no tail then the vets shave her hind end and fixs her up with some shots and send me home with 10 days of peniclian for her.
Well its been a week and i call today to say she fine but i think the penicilian is constipating her.......... haha I know the vet assistant thinks i'm right off my rocker. I very well could be for thinking the cat is constipated but i just wanted to know if there was anything i could give her..... he said he'd get the vet to call..... needless to say the vet still hasn't called me back.... probably to busy ltao at me

I'd say she could be dehydrated at the moment, due to the trauma and penicilan, upsetting her, feeling a bit low, down.
Get a seringe and feed her little bits of water, maybe also put a bit of milk next to her and add a bit of water to it, to dilute it slightly, can't hurt... We all need water.

It's been a long time since I had a cat, can't have them in an apt and we have a bird. But I thought you weren't supposed to give adult animals milk? A little oil in her food should smooth things along and help with a shiny coat. CW is right that plenty of fluids would be good. Would anti-biotics have the samw effect on animals as on humans, maybe yeast? Would she eat some yogurt (dairy but a more digestible form) or give some bifidous?
I agree with WC ....one of those should do it....bobtail cats are cool....I like mine....she is always trying to lay on my daughters belly...
If it wasn't for the bad times.... We wouldn't appreciate the good ones!
WC, correct you aren't supposed to give cat milk, that's why i said water it down a bit, was thinking if she is de-hydrated, then she may not take the water, so a bit of milk with water may help...get her going..and drink more.
