Thread: 15 Facts

beaver-mom - Lovely. Thanks for sharing!!!! My mom and brother raised two orhpan squirrel babies, bottle fed, built them a tree platform and attached it to a tree near the house so they could teach the babies how to climb trees and retrieve food on their own. Their names were Nut and Bean. I have pictures of them laying on our beagle's back resting. lol! Also glad to hear you got out of a rotten marriage with a rotten person. You seem like a wonderful gal.

Well I guess I will give this a shot.

1) I've been playing guitar since I was 13 years old.
2) My birthday is Halloween. This year I turn 40.
3) I've been with the same woman since I was 20 years old.
4) I have 6 tattoos, all of which are originals and designed by me.
5) I am a Petty Officer First Class in the United States Navy Reserves. I have deployed to the Persian Gulf twice.
6) I love to cook. Most of my friends would rather I cook than have a free meal at any restaruant. Apparently I am a very good cook.
7) I love going shopping. I can spend the whole day shopping for shoes. I know I'm a guy and should hate it but I don't. My favorite is shopping with my wife for her. I love watching her try on everything.
8) I have good self esteem, yet I think I am ugly.
9) I was a theater arts major in college with a minor in criminal law. I was 15 years old at the time and still attending high school. I had to get permission to do both at the same time. After the first year my father said I should give up this nonsense and get a job. I have worked and paid my way since then. I wish he had let me finish school, but he hated me in theater.
10) I have been homeless 4 times. At one point I lived in a tin shed for 9 months. I was too proud to take my father's money and chose to live my life on my terms.
11) I love to hunt and fish and am an expert marksman. I have earned medals for my abilities in marksmanship.
12) I own a small 10 acre horse ranch in Texas.
13) I have 3 children. 21, 18 and 15. The 15 year old lives with us.
14) I dont make friends really easy, but those that I do have I would go to the ends of the earth to help.
15) I CAN'T STAND STUPID. I am a type A personallity and push myself to excell in everything I do and people that do just enough to get by drive me insane.

Kind of a weak list but it what I could put together this time. It was fun.

Ska - awesome list! I love the admission in number 8. I think so many of us fight our own inner demons of feeling that way. 10. You've come a long way!! Talk about life experience!!!

Ok My Turn .. And I absolutely will try not to be a " Novelist " here .. yeah Fat chance huh ?

1) I am Studied by the American Heart Association on a Yearly Basis. for 52 years now and was an experimental Guinea Pig back in 1959. I'm still here is what I fill out on the forms that they send me every year .. Lol

2) I have been an Abused and Neglected, Molested, Raped child/ teen and was in 32 foster homes in 2 years.Then I found my Home with my Gram & Gramps.

3) I am and will forever be a Rescuer of Animals and People, Though I have the ability to chose those I wish to help and can Put either out of their Misery. When it is deemed that it is to their benefit or my safety.

4) I love to read, books. Different Genres, But cannot read the same book twice, within 10 years. Memory problem of Remembering the outcome or the DeJa Vue aspect.

5) Used to love to cook. Now only on Holidays or Planned Occasions. Kids are older so no need for 3 meal a day balanced Nutrition . Mc "D"s and Jack O Box and Taco Bell take care of that.

6) Holistic to the almost Extreme. If you are Puking, use Oatmeal. Only Babies that are Full Puke up Oatmeal. Itches, Rashes, Same thing ,Also will try Holistic treatments over Man Made Medicines or treatments.

7) I am Artistically inclined, though in all area's of life, not just paintings or artwork. I can see art in a well laid out Garden.

8) I know that I am here for a Reason not just a Season. To me I am in my Fall years, with Winter being the Final one. This is based on Spring is the time of the New and Young.

9) I absolutely would rather Never have to wear Shoes at all... Ever.
But I must so therefore I comply. I so miss Kentucky. I was barefoot even in grocery stores . lol


10) I am a Mother, but I am not like my Birth Mother in any way. More like her Mother, who is my Idol and Teacher of Life.

11) I have never,even when Pregnant been over 138 lbs. that includes 5 live births. and I am now at 129. which is a Plus to me, being as I am 5'7 and usually a size 3-6 , but now Proudly wear a 7.

12) I am more of a Tom Boy or one of the Boys. I fit in better and enjoy people who can work, work hard . Most of my friends are male and the woman friends I have are not the Barbie Doll type.

13) I have the most Expressive " Warped " sense of Humor. I was actually asked to leave from the Movie Theater in the 70"s for Laughing during the " Horror Scenes " in the Original Exorcist movie.

14) I love to watch others. I used to play a game in airports of people walking by " Guess their Occupation on how they are dressed or walk or look " .

15) I am a bit of a Pack Rat, I can go through my closets and boxes stored there and find things from 40 years ago, Bills, old address books, Cards from Birthdays or Christmas. It drives me crazy that I can't seem to throw them away .
