Hello I'm not sure where to post this but I wanted to warn anyone who was going to try this out, PLEASE DON'T. It's a scam
I told myself a long time ago I was not going to buy into any scams and I tried not to I did my research and looked at all the fine print but they get the best of us I guess (they only got me half way)
I seen it advertised on TV SMC were you can buy at a low cost and resell for more money and keep the profit the commercial was very shifty but it has a famous actor sounds good I looked at the website and it was like wow you can make a little or a lot it’s like Avon but they say you can get a lot more things and they are made better okay so they also say just sign up for a free letter that will tell you more about it so I did before I even received my free letter in the mail I got a call from a very very pushy sales person and we talked for almost an hour and he keep trying to sweeten the deal and push and push so I wrote it all down it was great and if you wanted to they can even create your own personal website with free tech support..ect
in the end he said if you don’t like it for any reason within 30 days you can cancel and get your refund and KEEP all the money you made
just pay $25 but after I finally agreed thinking if I don’t like it I can cancel he got my checking account info he said I would be billed $40 I was angry I said you told me $25 he said well there is tax and shipping and if I want to send this free kit back I would have to pay $17 and it would take a few months for a refund of my money I had figured it was a scam and I just lost a lot of money I was angry I called after hanging up the number he gave me to cancel I figured as he was not going to process the order for 7 days (as I told him I would have to put more money into that account as it was almost empty he would 'hold my order for 7 days before process would take care of it) so I was going to call and ask for them to just cancel it now and that way I don’t have to worry about it , well the number he gave me had a recording saying the 'system was down for maintenance call back the next day I called back the same recording so I called the second number he gave me that was a " coach that is supposed to help you sell your product " I got a different recording saying the system was down so I called the original number and when they asked what my questions was I got hung up on
I had already read the fine print on line to their conditions and I had said I don’t want your 'free' website as you still have to pay $60 a month I think it was for their server's use and they don’t advertise it you have to and if you do they will charge you a fee and to use the credit card part is separate so he had taken that part off my bill he said become a gold member now and pay $400 but we will give you a free pass to buy some stuff for you to have or to show your products I was like no I think I better wait he was like but wait "THERES MORE ahh he keep making me think if I just do it now I’ll get even more things for less in the end he was like o and btw it’s the new year and this offer won’t be here later on..ect
in my defense lol if I have any they called at 7 am I was half asleep ROFL

but in the end I figured if it did not work out I can sell as much as I can and then cancel it send the 'kit (which he said was a giant box with everything I needed in it a map of my town' so I can see how much shipping to charge people and a video and this and that and how if I don’t want to keep doing the business they want their kit back and I have to pay for it..ect)

then after I had already agreed I knew I had made a mistake but I figured unless I would have hung up he would have not stopped talking unless I said yes so I went online and looked harder and 'low and behold I found a website dedicated to people who have been scammed by them already I was like big smake on my face oh darn
the site had a million people who have been scammed and about 3 who said they like the business and don’t think they have yet been scammed (probably people who work for that company) lol
one guy said he got the call and they were so nice and it all seemed like it was honest until he got the 'kit he said (don’t quote me as I don’t remember exactly what he said ) the kit was made on crappy paper and it had like one little map and it was terrible anyway and he called and said he was unhappy would like to cancel they said sure but don’t bother sending the kit back we don’t want it and it was going to take a few months before he got a refund
    wow
but I read another person's post they said that just empty and then close your account before its processed that way you don’t have to deal with them he had done it and they won’t spend their time and money to try to find you and make you keep the deal
I thought about doing that but I did not want to be dishonest I figured I can try it and see if it is a real scam so I called the bank to see how much money I had left in the account I had given them so I can add enough to cover their cost the lady said that bank account has been canceled for over 4 months
(I had felt bad at first that I gave them an 'inactive account but it solved my problems I figured if they ended up suing me or something I would have to deal with it but as I do believe it’s a scam I don’t think they will try to find me)

so just everyone be ware do all your homework if it sounds too easy or too good to be true ask a million and one questions and don’t give out info unless you’re for sure you want to commit to what they are selling you

it really is sad this day in age we are in were people are bent on making money and it does not matter anymore if its honest money or not.

I’m a Christian and I believe that everything happens for a reason so I believe that there was a reason my bank account had been closed without my realizing it ( my mom who was also on the account had taken too much out to put on PayPal and there was not enough to cover the tax that you get when you fall below the $100) and after the tax had taken the last of it out it was canceled but I had not tried to use the account to know before I had given them the info )

just wanted to say all that hope I did not bore all the readers to death

I'm afraid that in order to make money you need to provide labor or capital. Anything that claims to make money without much of either of those is either a gamble or a fraud.

I'm afraid that I just reject out of hand any money-making offers. Once I hung up on a caller who assured me that I had "won" a new car.

Default Thankyou for the SMC warning

I just recieved an email about working online from home. I have done work like that before, so I didn't think too much of it, and signed up to get the free info. Afterwards, the SMC homepage popped up, so I decided to investigate. Doing so, brought me to this site, and to your post about the experience you had. Thanks to your post, you saved at least one person from being scammed by this company. I am waiting for them to call now so that I can "mess with them." I am sorry about your experience, but hopefully others will investigate this company as well, and because of your post, and the several other posts on this, these people won't waste their time. Thank you, again

    Red face SMC is worthless

A few years ago I started an ebay business. I was looking for more products to sell and thought maybe I could use SMC to expand my ebay business. $25 seemed like nothing to lose. I was really disappointed when I saw the products and pricing. There was nothing but a bunch of cheapo knick knacks and junk, and I couldn't sell any of it even at my cost! You can find hundreds of other people attempting to sell the same junk at the same no-profit pricing, with little to no sales as well. I just posted it as a business loss, live and learn. There really is no substitute for doing business the old fashioned way, even if you do it using today's technology.

I too had a horrible experience with SMC. I'm going to be a thorn in that company's side for awhile. Most products they say are wholesale are comparable to amazon prices. As a web developer that's my next goal, to build a site to warn others of joining.

Smc is no scam. All I have to say is you really need to put a lot of effort in your business. Otherwise, you can't get what you have invested back.
