    Default Australia bush fires

Been meaning to write this however, I have been a bit, "bed bound" and way not the way I wanted, trust me haha.

But, it's sad here at present.... In my neighbouring State, there have been 181 deaths, possibly up to 100 more missing... Mother's, Children, no where to go, the fires came from left and right, they could not run.

    1000 homes have been destroyed.

51 fires in total reported and yesterday, another (3) DELIBERATELY LIT? After the event... Shame.

Townships in total ruins... People after 4 days, not knowing if their loved ones survived, searching for their children, because the Police can't let them back towards home along the trail to see due to continual fires.

The fires are not all out... It's still happening.... They were ragging like ragged dolls caught under a candle lite...

    But, mostly ,not accidental.

I wish for this, that all new rules include all homes to be built with steel, that somehow other materials sourced can cope with fire, that, the idiots whom started them are not laughing and that, the parents of lost children, in those fires, or wifes/ husbands can heal.

    I wish ....

    Chandlers Wish....

CW, this is so sad and all the world has been watching in sorrow. In my state we experience wild fires every year, but never with the deaths and property loss this has had. Earth based housing such as rammed earth or plastered staw bale would withstand this or even earth bermed concrete. Building systems such as metal studs cannot withstand the high heat.

We often see devistation in coastal areas from hurricanes and they rebuild in the same places with the same materials. I don't understand it. We see it in the central US with tornados, every year people die (part of my own state is in the tornado alley). They keep allowing the most dangerous structures - mobile homes. My kids schools before we moved had these 'temporary' (they never moved them once they brought them) classrooms in a high risk area, many of the regular structures lack any underground safety area too. It makes no sense. It is as if as a society we are agreeing that the higher initial cost isn't worth preventing tragedy.

Very sad that goings on in our world today. It was said that we would experience severe times of drought....which I interpret metaphorically. I believe we are experiencing this now all over the world. So many hardships....so many lives lost...so many people struggling just to eat. All we can do is "hope against hope"...

    I don't get man, truly...

How many destructions need to occur before they change legislation and make those changes, such as what you suggest WC, pertaining to how homes / schools have to be built, especially after such devistation.

Even 911... Why build such tall towers then? They still do so.

I appreciate it's all over the World, just when you see it first hand in your own Country, you see clearer, close to home.

I believe 300 to be dead now and they suspect around 1 million animals...

What is now being shown is wildlife and I was watching a Koala, put it's paw on a firefighter, whilst drinking H20 from a bottle, aweeeeee... (2 bottles it drank)......

Frankly, arsonists suck .... I can almost see them laughing which really sucks.

It seems to be a wide spread problem, look at product liability. I read that Ford has/had a problem with certain models wiring catching fire and the cars and windows can't be opened. If the occupants can't break the glass and get out they die - horribly. The company examined the situation and decided it would be cheaper to pay off lawsuits than do a recall and fix the problem. The article said the lawsuits prohibit revealing the amonunts paid. What a statement about the value of life and suffering! There are numerous cases of drugs sold that do more harm than good and probably many other products as well.
