Unhappy HAD to tell you all

Okay, so last night...about an hour and a half before work, I was outside on the balcony. It was gorgeous, and my dog Gus was loving his life while I threw his tennis ball out into the yard for him to retreive. But apparantly he did not see where the last throw had landed, so I was going to go and help him out. I was on thr top stair ( there are nine), walking down when gus jumped in front of me. Now we all know this feeling. Where "Im going to fall and there is nothing I can do to stop it" flies through your head as you try to figure out a good landing scenario. Well, I guess I kind of did.

I tumbled down the patio stairs, face first, and landed on a nice peice of concrete. My vision went all white for just a few seconds, and I blinked to see gus sitting by me licking my ear. I immediately began to cry. I dont know whether I crawled up the stairs, or walked. But I called my boyfriend at work...

"Dan, I need you to come and get me"
    "why. whats wrong"
"I fell down the balcony stairs"
"should I call an ambulance? Are you bleeding? Is anything broken?"

(you should all know I had to ask dan what happened...everything is a little fuzzy)
    and then I said

"No, nothing is broken...Gus is fine and so are the stairs...its just me thats hurt"

so he came rushing over, and took me to the hospital, where they assesed my injuries...and gave me a needle in my bum, and a house-shaped pill to take...
apparantly I have a sprained wrist, and ankle, bruised ribs, a pulled /over extended neck muscle, 2 bulged discs in my back, a HUGE goose egg on my noggin,...and just...lots of bruises.
I apparantly cried for my mommy a LOT, and all my man had to say to that was
"Whats her number, I'll call her"
and I came back with a broken " international----number----text my wife, she will tell mom".
    "Who?"
"MY WIFE..press two, her number is on speed dial."

and then he told the nurse I must be in a lot of pain, because Im a tough cookie (or something like that...things kept getting fuzzy)....

The funny part is aparantly I said I had an "armpit in my mouth" while under the influence of hospital drugs.

and now today...Im stuck in bed, while my body begins to heal...but honestly...this just proves that I am seriously accident prone.

I would live in a bubble, but knowing my luck, I would get "bubble burn" or something....lol

Oh Dear, you better take it easy for a few days. You are fortunate it wasn't worse.

You know I bought into the accident prone stuff for years and then decided not to. The problem is your focus. I do it, get to thinking, or looking at something and not paying attention to where the feet are going in relation to the rest of the planet. You have to train yourself to move with awareness. I've literally walked into walls before. LOL.
Exersize and balance work helps, at least you can do a better job of saving yourself from some falls and you recover faster. Last yr I caught the back of my shoe on the underside of a concrete stair while carrying a sink or some such thing and pitched head first into a door jam - knocked myself silly too.

Be careful, it all works out better if you are in one piece.

Do we not realise that in order to find a soul
    It doesn't happen over night
if truth were to be told.

Like everything in life that's hard to achieve
