Hai. Sometimes I feel sad during the fall/winter. I miss seeing the snow fall in Kyoto and having the social support structure there, even though I left when young and only was back here and there over the years, it's still home. Sometimes even with all the great things here in the US and Europe/Oceania I think people can be so mean in these places too while I didn't experience that at home. Maybe because we're not so open about feelings though..

How long have you been learning English if you don't mind me asking? Your English skills would put many native speakers to shame.

Never been to Japan but I hear they're more community and group oriented whereas Westerners and especially Americans are far more individualistic. I usually like individualism but I know we Americans (and especially Texans! ) can take it too far at times.

Thank you but I actually started with English as my parents only spoke that at home and I grew up in different schools and countries owing to my father's role in government. Japanese is actually more of a second language for me. When I speak I've been told I have a British accent. haha

Well, too much of anything. We're all guilty of that to some extent I believe.

Very much so though I feel people are really pretty much the same the world over. We all want to be happiness and so many people look to questionable sources to find that happiness, even when it's always inside you. (though even I find it hard to get to at times).

I'm trying to figure out something for work that is not in my area of expertise. I just downloaded a users guide, the stupid thing is 1000+ pages. Who in there right mind would create such a thing?

So what do I do? Close it up and call an employee who I knew would know the answer.

    Frustrating at times.

I come from a military family but have been in the same area in Texas most of my life. I was whining to Lana the other day that I'm getting tired of it but am not really sure why or even know where I'd rather be. Maybe Miya can stuff me in a spare suitcase an smuggle me into Japan how I like it there. Haha!
