LOL I have a neighbor who believes in demons. The eye came off a scarecrow put up as a decoration and she was sure a demon did it. Well I saw a squirrel giving the same scarecrow a haircut. It was just going snip, snip with it's teeth.

I believe that some people/beings/activities can leave behind a presence. Some good, some bad, some in between. There has always been a presence at my mom's house. But it has never done any harm. It just does little things here and there. Drops a bucket in the basement, rattles the front door handle....harmless stuff. When I was a kid, if I layed in bed, I could hear someone sweeping. If I sat up, it stopped. About the only time I was actually freaked out was when I was about to fall asleep, and someone/thing did this loud whisper in my ear. Man...I sat bolt upright in bed!! But there was nothing there.
I've had bad feelings in places....when I lived in NY, there was a bedroom upstairs in our house that I just didn't like. Even during the day, when the sun was pouring in the room, I HATED going in there. To this day, i don't know what it was. But just stepping into the room gave me an uneasy feeling. The worst was when I was putting sheets away in there, and I walked out to see my cat...back arched all the way up, hissing like CRAZY at the wall(one wall of that room, but on the outside) THAT one scared me.
I told my mom about it, and she said to smudge the room. I tried that, and it did help for a while, but the feeling came back. I don't know if it was a spirit, or just negative energy left over. But either way, I didn't like it.

I think I've had more encounters with harmless spirits though. Harmless or not, it still freaks me out.

Any place where there has been an event that triggers intense emotion, can be changed by that. Emoto's work with water crystals gives a fine example with one substance. Places such as Ground Zero or Sand Creek in the US hold the pain of mass death, while other activities such as "blessing" a space by having sex there, creates another kind of energy. Many sites around the world that are places of pilgrimage, became so because they hold postive energy.

The house I moved out of held a great deal of pain and negative energy. When we first looked at it I mistakenly thought it came from the people living there. They were slobs and there where signs of violence in their relationship. I purified and smudged the entire house and the area around it. It helped slightly. My now ex had moved into the house prior to our marriage and started to have problems with his health and employment literally the day my kids and I moved in. No one else had any trouble other than related to dealing with his.

I smudged a couple of times trying to clear the energy in the house because I just didn't feel comfortable there. A couple years after moving in I was talking to some neighbors who had been there a good 30 yrs. She was Native American and understood what I was working with. They told me that when they moved into their house, our house was being rebuilt from an arson fire. In doing some work on the place I could tell there had been a fire. They didn't know or wouldn't say if there were any deaths but a man had decided that his wife and kids were trying to poison him and had set the place on fire in the middle of the night and then barricaded the road with his truck and tractor to try to keep the fire dept out (this is a rural area). It turned out he had a brain tumor.

It was such a relief to leave that place. I regularly smudge the properties I manage, as I did in the past. Most of my tenants know I do so and some have asked me to do the inside of their apts as well. It makes a difference, I've had people who didn't know I'd smudged tell that somehow the property seems "cleaner" and ask if I was doing something different. I just smile and tell them I've been purifying.

Well, the day I moved out, I had a cop there (long, irrelevant story) and he was talking to me outside while the guys were getting my stuff. He said that back in the 80's, a guy who lived in our apartment hung himself in our staircase. I thought that explained everything and it really creeped me out.
Whoa that sounds really scary. Trippy you found out about it after you moved out. I would'nt doubt some crazy stuff has happened in my apartment before. It was built around 1910....that's about near a 100 years old. Where I live at too was also a brothel before.. ironic staying 2 places that used to be that lol....but what I found out recently also is that someone died next door. He was an alcoholic and they found him there. I think he's one of the ghosts in my building.

Wow I believe that....I don't doubt my last apartment is very haunted right now. After the crazy stuff I've been through there and also my friend/ex-roommate passing away there. I feel my friend is haunting that place now...things were left unresolved there. I feel her presence alot in my room too, like she's looking after me all the time. The stove turned on by itself at my place twice and nobody touched the stove. One time while my roommate and I were arguing it turned on mysteriously and a fire actually started in the kitchen. Really scared both of us and then another time it turned on again,I was even in the kitchen that time and had my back turned to the stove...I looked around and it was on all of a sudden!?!? I then asked my roommate why the stove is on and we both could'nt figure out how it turned on by itself cos my roomie did'nt touch it either. One time I woke up in the middle of the night and my overhead light was on....I don't recall turning it on,it was off before I went to sleep. Then about a month ago I was looking at the supposedly haunted painting I found on the internet that people claim weird things happen after staring at it and something on the table dropped on the floor like a force pushed it off while I was looking at it. That really creeped me out and I never ever looked at that painting again after that. Alot of bad vibes from it.

I don't believe in "Ghosts" but I believe in Demons.

Ghosts are lost souls, who haven't worked out how to leave, mainly because they have an attachment here on Earth and didn't follow the white light.

Demons are "evil" who don't want to leave, rather see who they can take with them in the afterlife.

They search for the "wicked" and try to put thoughts into their mind, you hear voices that tell you to "do it", "it's okay, just do it...."

Ghosts often turn up in a white dress, flowing, young or old, isn't a white dress purity? this is how they choice to look. Sometimes, though they remain in exactly what they were wearing before they died, a shawl and an old dress, a top hat and suit and this is what you see.

Remember as a child? You had an imaginary friend, you laughed with and played with? This was your "ghost" a relative, playing with you, laughing with you, protecting you and your parents called "him/her" your imaginary friend.... As you passed 6, 7 years old, you remembered them fondly or totally forgot about them, young souls are not allowed to remember spirits... You believed they were imaginary.

Those that saw "evil" "demons" they remain until you change your ways, they purely want to take your soul.

After all there is a God and there is a Devil according to the Bible, both will fight for you, who will win?

If you can see, it's called Spritualism...

You may also be able to see an Aura.
    Have ESP.
Read Jewelry and predict the future.
    See "Ghosts"
Hear choir voices in a converted Church that is now a nightclub.

And when you try that Ouija Board, the demons come out to play, they swear, they threaten, they scare and time stands still. They remain with you, to do their chore, to take you with them when it is your time.

    Be scared, very scared...

If you see a "Ghost" tell it to go to the white light and it's ok, there are family there waiting for them.

If you see a "Demon" tell it "you can't win, I am not afraid of you, for ever demon there are three angels".... Go.

When I wrote this, it vanished, whilst i was doing spell check...

When ever you play with evil, they will find a way to ensure you don't write....

This is all fiction off course, or is it?

    A story or reality?

Have I seen all of the above?

    Are you scared now?

    Oh man CW.... haha.

This stuff totally fascinates me though. I've never actually seen anything or had a direct encounter that I can remember, but it's so interesting to me.

I'm also a horror movie buff so that could have something to do with it

WC - What exactly is smudging and how do you do it? I've heard of it before and have always been interested in giving it a try.

    I've got to be direct
    If I'm off please correct

Are you talking about "Hands Resist Him" by Bill Stoneham? That is probably the creepiest painting I've seen in my life. It's so simple, but just looking at it makes me feel like there's a huge weight on my chest. And that's before I even knew the stories behind it (although I'm pretty sure the stuff about it on Ebay was a total crock of....stuff....)
