I know kids can be really annoying at times.I also feel I don't want kids,although I do fantasize having my own kid one day,I just don't think I want one soon.
As long as you don't hurt anyone with your feelings that's cool. People should'nt judge you cos of that I guess. I loathe dogs and I'm sure some people would'nt agree with that. What about kids who hate adults?? lol I have 2 cats too...they're adorable. Cats are smarter than humans on so many levels.
I am definitely no fan of children. My mother runs a dayhome and I have seen countless numbers of babies and children over the past 15+ years. Not many people have grown up with that type of experience. I know how to care for kids, what to expect, how to react, all that jazz. As a result, I do not know if could have one. When I am around kids in the public I want out of there. I fake being interested in them showing me leaves and whatnot and it does make me feel bad, but not as bad as I should feel. I do not care though. People always ask me how I can dislike children when I have been around so many for so many years...the only answer I can give is I just do not have the patience for them. They are annoying more than they are cute, at least to me. Not sure if the lack of patience is the reason for your hating of children but know that your not alone in the disliking.
You are not a freak by disliking kids, and people should not say anything about what you decide to do in your life. There is nothing wrong with deciding not to have children.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

Play with them
Kiss them
Brush them maybe
Put them to bed
Buy them a toy
A new bed maybe
But, that's it.... You don't have to worry when you want to go out, or away, someone feeds them.. You don't have to worry about school fees, or the newest computer or rebock shoes, etc or whining or anything... No stress, no pressure, free with your life basically.
So in reality. you have heeps of love inside you, ....
But, just don't "like" children in as much as wanting them in your life in any capacity as probably you can't cope with the screaming, demands, wants, needs and commitment... of time etc.
Bet you'd save an animal though if it walked past you and was hit by a car .....

A friend of mine doesn't like children either. She actually had an abortion to avoid one. I had a really hard time with that but I don't feel any different towards her. It's a personal choice and it's your choice, no one elses.

lmao. It;s so funny you say this. I once was in a friends packed out 2 door car. The car in front of us hit a squirrel, so I climbed out of the backseat over the person in the front seat and jumped out of the moving car on a major highway scooped up the squirrel and carried it back in the car with me and demanded the person drive to a vet.Ahhh see? I had some narly road rash and a busted wrist from that but it was so worth it!

I respect the decisions people make in their lives. They need to do what is best for them. If you do not care for children thendefinetly no not have any. And do not engage in activities that would have you near them.
As others said "Hate" is a VERY strong word. I think it is really horrible that you would wish you BF daughter to die! What if someone said they hate all your pets and wish they would die... just something to think about. I bet your BF would be mortified to hear this from you.
I admit I am not fond of other peoples children. Not all but the ones who are always out of controll. It drives me nuts to see kids running wild in resteraunts or stores. I do not like going into walmart at 11pm and seing people with screaming kids. I want to slap the parents and tell them to take their child home and put them to bed immediately!!!
As someone who is trying very hard to raise respectfull, thoughtfull children your post makes me a bit sad.

Since I canot edit my post I retract my statement about parents with unruly cildren and slapping them (the parents). I do not pretend to know what others have going on in their lives. I could go on about this more but since I don't feel like getting into a huge debate I will not.

No, it points to the fact that you will love vulnerable, creatures that can't fend for themselves... And alas this is children too, nor can they.

So, I think you like the "simplicity" of it... you have the love and you will so remember this bit, you will find a child one day that you relate to, go WT? And find that child the same and all of a sudden love that child... Think I am wrong? Tell me in 5 years, I think 6.
It's not hate for kids, It is what they stand for to you... You have the love inside so strong it's not funny, not maternal, but that's a different side of "kids".. your not a Mum, in that being but you are with your animals....

I asked for a reason, I don't have kids, I love animals with my heart and life, but guess what? I am right with my taking with this, and I will be here, 5, 6 years town the track, unless Little fires me
