First thing I would do is buy myself a house. That is the main thing on my list. I would also invest some so it would last. I would probably just buy a lot of little things, to fill up the house.

Strange - I can't think of any way $5M would make my life a lot better. Lots of little things, but none of my limitations or problems can be fixed with money.

I like my job - wouldn't want to quit. Moving is too much work - I'd probably stay in my house. I already travel everywhere I want (and more).

    Umm i would
*Pay for all my college bills
    *Buy me a nice car
*Donate atleast 200,000 worth into charities
*Go buy lots of clothes and spoil my brother with whatever he desired
*Pay off all my parents bills so they can be stress free.
*Pay for my momma to get back in for the expensive check up she needs.
*Give my parents a large amount so my daddy can take time off of work and relax
*And the rest...i would save up for but eventually go crazy with and spend.

Me, pay off my bills, set a little aside for my kids. Million for that (generous set aside).

Give the rest to my wife.

    She can stay or go.

At first I thought this would be an easy answer, you know, the normal buy house, cars, take care of kids, parents, pets family , charity and so on.

Then I thought more of the long term future of more than just my family and a few strangers.

So, I would Build a Casino/Hotel/Resort (here in Washington State. Being Native American, we can do that here. )

I would invest $3 million to get it started, Not a huge Vegas one. but one that would eventually profit enough to expand as time went past and $1 million for housing and other benifits for Employees & Families.

All Employee's would be the less fortunate, homeless or survivors of abuse, floods, earthquakes, tornados, ex cons or druggies that just never got a break and most important....

They would have free housing, food and basic medical and dental and schooling for trade or career ( adults especially).
Conditions would strickly apply,as in drug and alcohol free, no violence, basic rules of behavior and a 2 year contract of probationary "progress" of self, education etc.

Pay would be $10 an hour tax free with the chance to have raises on performance after 6 months. The better they perform the higher they can go. After 18 months they may start buying stock or shares.

** Remember everything else is FREE !! ***

Then I would wait the 2 years, hopefully have more Casino's from Profits and offer the employee's chances to run other Casino's and do the same things with the Needy and so On.

After 10 years, I would take the $3 million I had saved and not splurged on my fam & friends. And go to my most Profitable Casino and bet it all Double or Nothing .

Woo Hooo, either way, I cannot Lose and many can win..

I know someone who lives on tribal lands with a casino and they get a cut of the casino profits. Their biggest expense....gambling - the casino gets almost all of it back (argh!).
