Nah, single and wondering where this elusive breed of good women is hiding.

But these discussions about good people make me wonder how much of it is really about good and bad. We all have emotional shortcomings to a certain degree. Is it then more about who has fewer of these shortcomings or who deals with them better?

Check out this Gavin fella out for instance:

    http://www.womens-health.com/boards/...70-issues.html

Only 17 and the kid is already telling other girls they can't do any better than him. A jerk for sure but he comes across as insecure and I wonder how he'd be with more confidence.

There is also compatibility. How much do we want to be with someone that's the complete opposite of us even if they are generally well adjusted emotionally? What if we like to be punctual and they are so laid back that they always run late? What if we are on one end of the political spectrum and they are on the other? Then it's easy to think of them as not being good even if they just have a different opinion on matters.

I only wear panties when I'm vacuuming.

Are you sure you want me to revise? If this is published already, I'd be questioning your editor...there are more than a few grammatical and spelling errors.

If men were like shoes, then surely the world would be a better place. I know you women would agree with me on the previous statement. Why? Because shoes will always love you, they will always make you feel beautiful, and no matter how many pairs you have, you will never be branded a harlot.

Men are a dime a dozen, but to find the diamond in the rough will require one to pay in solid gold. How do I know this? I sit here writing armed with a wallet full of dimes and a closet bursting with Jimmy Choos. Which brings us to the conclusion: Women have better luck finding a perfect pair of heels than they do finding a good man.

For the better part of my adult life Prince Charming has seemed to elude me. All I have to show for my efforts are several failed relationships, a loss of faith and one last burning question, “Where is my Prince?”

It took some time but a quiet walk through the enchanted forest brought me to the realization that life isn’t a fairy tale. Life is real and the expectation of make believe perfection will only drive one to the brink of insanity.

Women today have to keep their wits about them while searching for their Prince Charming. If they do intend on venturing out into the battlefield, they would do well to bring a suit of armor- and perhaps a sword. Dating brings many emotional distresses and you never know when you’ll have to defend yourself.

Not to say that there aren’t cures for wounds the battlefield may bring. My Fairy Godmother introduced me long ago to a potion by the name of Ben and Jerry. And we can always lament our woes with our beloved stillettos who will never bring us more distress than a few blisters and sore heels.

My mother taught me to write from the heart, to say what is on my mind and to always be truthful with oneself and others. Do not play games, do not make up stories. If you are genuinely interested, then show interest. The truth will set you free. As a hopeless romantic I will follow these virtues until I slip my foot into a glass slipper that fits.

I hope and pray for my Prince to appear soon. For I too, am a prize to be had and you never know when I’ll be taken away to the castle.

And with a click from the heels of my Jimmy Choos…I’ll live happily ever after.
