My first article as a journalist!

If men were like shoes, then surely the world would be a better place. All or at least most women would agree with me on the above statement. Why? Because shoes will always love you, they will always look beautiful, and no matter how many pairs you have, not one person can call you a harlot. And I am sure that all women agree than men are a dime a dozen, but to find a good man who is actually single, one has to pay in solid gold. How I know this is I have a wallet full of dimes, and a closet bursting with Jimmy Choo's. The reason I compare men with shoes is because I have had better luck finding that perfect pair of heels, than a good man.

All of my life I have looked for prince charming without ever finding him. And then while taking my dogs for a walk on a trail marked with trees with hearts carved into them I realized that I am not in a fairy tale. This is real life, and if I keep expecting perfection, I will only drive myself to the brink of insanity.

Women today have to be smart while playing around the dating field. If they do intend on setting out into the battlefield known as "singlehood", then before they do they should prepare themselves for many emotional distresses. Distresses of course being the cruelest of jokes, and being turned down. This should always be followed by a quick therapy session with my two favourite men...Ben, and Jerry. And lets face it. The only thing a sexy pair of stilettos will cause is a few blisters. No heartbreak and no mess.
This is just my oppinion, so excuse me if I cound vindictive, but do good guys really finish last??? And where is this elusive breed of good men hiding? As a single woman I have heard the advice "play hard to get but show interest at the same time". What? Thats like asking me to open up a shopping bag to show its contents, then slamming it shut. It makes no sense. My mother has always told me to write from my heart, to say what is on my mind and to always be truthful with oneself, and others. Do not play games, and do not make up stories. If you are genuinely interested, then show interest. The truth will get you farther.
I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart and depths of my soul that I am a hopeless romantic like many women today. I hope and pray for mr.Right to appear so maybe I am being too quick to judge men. After all, one should not judge a book by its cover, or in this case shoes by their color.
As a last note: If there are any good men reading this; come out, come out wherever you are. We women don't bite....hard.

I'd rather feel the pain of wearing high heels that are too tight than that of the pain thrown at me by men constantly. Rock on sista!

The asset, shoes are a woman's... Let's face it you can use those shoes to kick high into a groin when spoken to the wrong way by a man

Shoes come in many sizes and colours and so do men.

Always be honest to yourself and true to yourself ... I think the trick only is not to give until you have been given to, there's nothing wrong with a chase, courting... Then those whom don't want to wait and chase will move on, as their intentions weren't right but those whom do want to make you their lady will be patient and whoo you and keep going because it's you they want, the soul, heart that they have gotten to know.

Then you can put your legs out and ask them to take your shoes off.

actually....Mr.Perfect turned out to be Mr.Harlot. Apparantly they offer a new kind of relaxation at job interviews, right little??...

But I got to keep the ring. So I think cynicism is needed, especially today in a world where men cannot think clearly...with either head.

maybe you need to move from "middle of nowhere canada" to a more populous area ace..there are 15 million men in canada..there's gotta be at least 25,689 men who meet your criteria..some of them are even still drawing breath
