A lot of the time, lately, I say that once I have my own car again my life will be perfect. And I can honestly say that I can't possibly be happier with a huge chunk of it. But, you know, we all have those tiny improvements that we'd like.
I'm completely happy with my boyfriend, who I live with in an awesome townhouse... the best place I've lived in so far aside from the house I grew up in. I have a job that I really like and don't LOATHE going to, but I'm looking into different things I want to do. I have a great family, awesome friends.
I could stand to see my friends more. The no car thing gets in the way of that, so I can't wait to do that.
I think the better word for how I am with life would be "content". My idea of a happy life isn't all too impossible. In a few years, I hope that we'll move way up to New Hampshire in a cute house in the mountains or by the lake. With a bunch of pets, mostly dogs, no kids. I've never been that girl whose always dreamed about having kids... I'm just not cut out for it. I'm that "my animals are my kids" kind of person haha.
I hope to still have all my friends around that truly love me, and we can enjoy each other's company. And I hope I'm in better shape by then

Going to bed content with what you have and hopeful about tomorrow.
Happy life for me? A smile on my kids face, a long tight hug from my boyfriend, laughing at my dog being silly, tasting a new dish, seeing a new view, enjoying a familiar dish, revisiting a familiar view.
Health, love, laughter, appreciating all that God has given is a happy life for me.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
GlitterAndStuds, you've reminded me how much I love animals. I too hope to own a bunch of pets, including a parrot or big huge lizard or something cool like that!... But my boyfriend's cats would kill anything like that, unfortunately. Boooooo!!

I want to know more about the big life plan type stuff... are you happy being single forever? Do you want to be married and have no children? Or 8 children?! Are you career driven? What do you want to have achieved by the time you are say... 60? Do you want to have 4 grandchildren by then?

3. We both work, but I will be a stay-at-home wife and mom until the son/daughter is
ready to be left to day care.
4. Career wise, I want to get my masters done by age 40 or probably pursue a
completely new field - such as Occupational Therapy, nursing or pharmacy (in my
dreams?!).
5. When I am 60...husband and I should just go on vacations/trips, live off of our
retirement, own a couple of real estates for lease, or just any business that would
allow us to chill out a little.

My ideal life and a life that would make me happy vary so I will just go with the idea of what kind of life would make me happy.
What I want out of life more than anything is that wonderful husband (Marty), a couple of children and a nice home. Middle Class is totally fine with me.
I want to have a home that everyone loves coming to and hates leaving. When you open the doors you just feel the love in the home. Also, you always smell something wonderful cooking. Very warm, inviting and cozy.
I want to have two healthy children. Who knows, maybe more? I want them to know how loved they are by their mother and father. I want to give them everything that I never had.
I want to be very close with his family and him with mine. I want to have family gatherings often where the kids can run around, the women can cook, the men can watch football and everyone can just come together at dinner.
I really want a very calm, loving and normal life. Pretty simple.

Haha I hear ya. I like cats but they're such a pain sometimes! We already have snakes, turtles and a bearded dragon (LOOOOVE her) but we would definitely have to keep them in a seperate room. Cats and dogs are just way too curious and ready to play with things.
