Pole Dancing Is Soooo Addictive

I bought a stipper pole when I was with my ex husbandbecause, since I was not allowed to even go to Yoga class without an argument, I figured that after my last baby I could try to get back into shape without having to get a sitter or go anywhere (or deal with my ex saying I would meet a man). Well, since it has mainly sat under the bed and collected dust. Well, my new bf mentioned it would be cool for me to do that for him, and since his birthday is coming up I figured I would start learning again. Man, I can't stop. I am so addicted am am working on it every spare chance I get. It's not easy at first, but gets easier, and it makes you feel super sexy!!

Anyone else here have a pole or have been interested in getting one?

danceintx, just curious, how on earth do you stand one up? I'm thinking you have to plant it into the floor some how.

A place where I use to ballroom dance, gives pole lessons. My feet are not as they use to be, so I would never be able to handle doing that but I always thought it look sort of fun to try. So I'll pass on getting one but that is cool you have one in your home.

How cool, Amber you Ballroom? I teach Ballroom, awesome! The pole is adjustable and you can adjust it to tighten against the floor and ceiling, and the ceiling plate is big and has a rubber seal on it. If it's tight enough, it will hold all your weight. Mine works good.

I use to ballroom dance but not anymore. I was completely addicted to it. I danced for over eleven years and took dance lesson throughout that time. But those two and a half inch heels caught up to me. They caused neuromas in my feet. After four surgeries, they have improved some but not enough to ballroom dance anymore. I guess I was just one of the unlucky ones. I know a lot of women who have danced longer than I did and still don't have any problems.

So it is part of my past but that is cool that you teach it.

It is a lot of fun.

I started taking belly dancing a month ago, loving it. I can also learn burlesque and add it to the repertoire, with the pole.

I have been teasing him about getting one, he smiles crazily - I love it!
