I went to log onto the forums and was SHOCKED when I saw that he was banned.
Anyone care to enlighten me? I always like him.

Those who break the rules on this forum, in flagrante no less, after having received an appropriate amount of warnings (which may be as few as zero, though in this case it was not) will be banned. I don't kittyfoot around.
If someone breaks the rules, they are ruining the WH experience for others. Regulars and Veteran members are not exempt and will not receive preferential treatment. Don't feel bad for those banned.

if you are banned is it forever, or for a certain period of time? can you rejoin in a different name?
Bans have different lengths of time.

If you are banned forever, you may never come back and if you join under a different name, we will ban the new name. Those with such disrespect for the rules who have to be permanently banned cannot be welcomed back into the community.
A member can be banned for any amount of time from one day to two years. If they choose to not take the length of their punishment and instead create a new profile, both will be permanently banned. If they choose to come back after they are banned and act within the rules, then we can forget anything bad ever happened

Can I ask if he was banned forever? I too (though I'm not sure why he was banned but I have faith in the WH system) appreciated the insight he provided on the threads I did see.
