    Ladies and Gentlemen,

After reading a certain novel, I was moved to post a question for you.

Could you be/Would you have a 'kept woman'...the idea being that this person is not your spouse, but someone who reserves themselves for your pleasure in a sort of contracted arrangement, be it financial support, housing, etc.

In olden days this was considered a man's right - to 'keep' a woman, however in this day and age some women are viewing it as an ideal situation for them to keep their independence, negotiate a deal, and still enjoy the perks of the physical but not constancy of the day to day issues.

    Your thoughts, gang!

(Just for the fun of it - I will be more serious about this tomorrow, will surely refute what I said tonight.....me thinking now, just for the sake of argument...*silly grin)

WHY NOT! I could be, since there is an arrangement, there is security. Don't we all crave for this safe and secure environment to tread?

You didn't ask, but as a guy, I'm wouldn't be interested in "keeping" a woman. Not for any moral issues, its just that I don't want to be responsible for someone in that way. I always carry my own bags up to a hotel room because I feel funny paying someone to do a service for me. This would be much worse....

I think there are still several women who do that in some regard to another, they just don't call it the same thing. I know guys that pretty much fall into a similar role.

Well, the book I was reading suggested that women today are viewing this as an empowering thing rather than an embarrassing or negative experience. I was just curious to see what the WH crowd had to say...

Tonight online there is a story that a brothel in Nevada just hired it's first male to 'service' female clientele..perhaps not the same thing, but along a line..

Never I have wayyy too much pride! I'm very independent and would never let a man think I'm his property. Also I know I'm intelligent and can go far I wouldn't just waste my talents to sit on my all day waiting for my husband to come home, never.
