I'm so close to doing it.
I'm just looking for law people at the minute to talk this through.
My best friend is a lawyer but in a different country, but I will talk to her about it aswell.

Has anyone of you ever done it?
Or have you forwarded a complaint about a doctor?
If so what for and what was the outcome?

I already contacted the health board just waiting for a reply.

Pretty much my whole family is in the medical field in different roles, and i've heard a ton of stories behind stuff like this, and my first question, if I may, is why are you looking to sue a doc?

Difficult to do. My nephew was improperly treated as a newborn with RSV and not given enough oxygen. He had seizures for several years. The neurologist told his parents that there had been several cases out of that hospital which was not a pediatric specialty facility. They essentially killed him, revived him and then transfered him to the pediatric hospital.

But they were told not to bother with any legal recourse as it would be virtually impossible to find any doc or nurses who would testify.

My ex was improperly treated after an 8 hour surgery. He ended up with deep vein thrombrosis and an infection at the site where they had repeated attempted and failed to place an IV and with probably permanent cirulatory damage in his lower legs and with neuropathy in his feet.

Too bad. No one is going to admit that anyone did anything wrong.

newhere808, well since you're 'on that side' I won't explain.
I'm just so sick and tired of doctors acting like selfish money grabbing (EDIT) not knowing what they're doing and messing with people's lives.
I'll have my landlord coming over tomorrow to talk about it, he knows some useful people.
If I cannot sue the doctor (which I probably can't cause I'm not rich enough, thanks to being on sick leave for the past 8 months thanks to that (EDIT) , I will do as much as I can.
I'll see what the health board will reply to my mail.
If noones going to do anything then I will.
I want to destroy the doctor.
Or at very least dirty his name, I'm thinking of calling up one of the bigger newspapers and telling my story.
I just have to do something, that idiot cannot get away with treating people like that.
Most people who are doctors shouldn't be doctors, they're just sadistic imbeciles.

I haven't heard one person say 'Oh that doctor was amazing and helped me so much!'
Everyone's always complaining, meaning the doctors don't know...anything.

    Sorry for cursing.

Unless there was negligent care on the part of the doctor I highly doubt there is anything that can be done. But just being mad at a doctor because of a treatment regiment or a prescription given is no grounds for sueing (as far as I know).

    Disco.

    I sympathize with you.

    And you do need closure.

If there was an error of judgement made that has lead to a new problem, from an existing problem, which can be proved as being the wrong say "surgery" then you have every right to seek compensation.

You'll have to gather your facts and also request a copy of the file on you, via a lawyer and then seek their advice on what you can do, go from there.

Make sure you have your facts sweet.

Is there anything a "new" Doctor can do to improve what ever it is your going through?

Yeah, sorry for the bad words but I am so angry, been raging all day.
I'll try to make an appointment with my GP tomorrow.

Well the thing is that I have been on sick leave since July.
My GP referred me to a consultant in a hospital.
I have been living on social welfare money, which is around 200 hundred euros per week.
I have to pay for rent (300 euros) monthly, doctor's appointments (50 euros) and medicine (around hundred euros, pluss some cheaper ones) and hospital bills (75 - 100).

I can hardly make rent and have very little money for food and now the consultant just says he's busy he cannot see me anymore. I was supposed to have a lot more tests with him coming up and he just quits on me. So the 8 months (which is ridiculously long time to wait for tests and results for with no diagnosis) were for nothing.
For today's appointment I had been waiting for for 2 months and he wouldn't see me today, sent me to someone else who doesn't have a clue about my condition.

So are you wanting to sue over an actual procedure he did? Sueing over it taking too long to get results? Sueing because he sent you to someone else?

And my point was that I'm seeing ym GP tomorrow and will make a big scene there and demand a test for next week with another doctor.
