My Brother has just stated an opinion about ALL women....what do you think?

Ok, so my brother (26 years old) has just turned round to me and said....and i quote....

'ALL normal everyday girls should quit caring about their appearences, as lets be honest, you will never look as amazing as a female celebrity.'

errr.....PIG anyone????

Suprising as it may seem, he does have a girlfriend, who was sat with me at the time when he thought it would be a wise idea to let that slip out of the bag.

Typically I would disagree with any opinion of either sex that is all encompasing as were not all alike, however I do agree with the general idea behind his remark. Women should stop comparing themselves to celebrities that benefit from things like personal trainers, trained makeup artists, and photoshop. It is a little unrealistic to expect yourself to look like someone who is mostly fake when they are in public view, and are paid to be as much.

The way he worded it was a little brash, I would not have used the term amazing, but keep in mind that most female celebrity's look nothing in the flesh like the do in pictures or on film, so again, his point is valid in my opinion.

Okay that last part was harsh,personally,my brother ever said that to me,he'd get a whack upside the head. Lol Maybe its just me,but I don't much see his 'caring' point behind that.Most woman won't let there looks go,even if there SO wouldn't mind.But maybe in a way he meant it nice? Haha

True. Any "average joe" could look as good as any of them given the same benefits.

He just made me laugh when he was saying that all us 'normal' girls need to stop caring because we could never be as amazing looking as a female celebrity.....but err hello??? Hes no fudging Christian Bale! HA!

Lol yea his wording leaves much to be desired, hard to defend him if he said it with fervor. What can I say though, quite a few guys have a habit of putting their foot in their mouth

Tell me about it. As soon as he said it, i immediatly turned round to his girlfriend expecting her to kick his as$! But alas, she just looked really sad

I think he genuinly meant well....in a weird kind of way....but i think he just needed to explain it better. ha! Its not as if all us girls are unaware of all the amazing treatment celebrity females get - such as fab make up artisits, hair stylists, Personal Trainers etc etc.....but they way he said it was a right kick in the face. HA!
